I’m planning on taking the ds lite gameboy advance reader and making a gameboy micro type handheld. But a little larger. Not quite sure about any more details yet.

I'm pretty sure there is a similar project called the gameboy macro. There are videos and guides online to make assembly smoother.

Yes there is but im wanting to put it into gameboy case

thats whats called a DMG103, I have build a ton of those myself

I build them with modded ds lite motherboard, so with a macro mod you can play with one screen.
also solder a flashcard to the ds card slot so i can play roms etc
