Gameboy cartridge programmer

Hey, sorry if this is a stupid question. But, can the Gameboy Cartridge Programmer mcgoo pull and drop save files from legit cartridges? Specifically the older Pokémon games? A buddy of mine wants me to back up his saves. And if possible, throw some guy's modded "virus" save onto one of them.

Yeah - not that anyone reads them, but I wrote reviews in the store for the 2MB cart and programmer. Did a ton of testing on both and confirmed that the programmer could read and write saves to OEM carts. I tested with Link's Awakening but Pokémon will work too.

Get the programmer and have some fun! I'm curious what that virus save is.

I did not realize I had gotten that first response so quickly and swiftly. Thank you both! I'll be reading that review if I can find it, and purchasing one very shortly.

P.S. Not too much into Pokémon myself, so I'm not 100% sure what it is. But, this is the link my buddy sent me for that "virus" save.
