Question 5v usb power

Could I grab the same 5v that the usb is using without drawing too much current? Does it even have a max current that you can draw from the connection? I’m powering a Wii to hdmi and It’s the closest 5v line to where I’m working.

A lot of that depends on what your setup is. Are you using stock or custom regs? All power supplies have max current draws, but depending on what it is will determine what the max is.

Stock regs. I only trimmed the outer ground plane. I was going to take the 5v off the av output pins but the 5v line got cut off from trimming.

Yep you can use 5v from USB then, I'm not entirely sure about the upper limits of the stock 5v line, but I'd stay under 2A.
