What do you guys do to make stencils? I'm experimenting with 3d printed stencils, mostly cause I want to be able to prototype more boards at my office. But some of the details come out very poorly on small smt parts

Laser cut vinyl works if the resolution is good and the machine is well tuned, but nothing beats just buying stencils with the PCB order

AI was telling me use Mylar, what material do you suggest ?
A roll of heat transfer vinyl would work fine, but a stiffer and more durable material would be ordinary paper lamination pouches. You can cut the fused end off to separate each pouch into 2 sheets and run them through a drop cutter or laser cutter, or you can print your stencil locations on a piece of paper, put the laminate sheet on top, and cut the holes out by hand.
