Hey @thedrew, when you were removing the wires, was this before or after the dedicated PCB?
Trying to get the 18-wire trick to work on a trimmed PM-41(2) but despite my second PSIO, I can't get it to boot with the 18-wires only.
Also, is there a particular reason you had pin 4 connected to 3v3 as opposed to the CPU-Pin-98?

As an aside, I think I figured out the issue:
Seems like somehow the /BIOS pin on the CPU was shorted to ground internally, so guessing that is the reason why the console wouldnt boot the PSIO.
Going to transplant a replacement CPU and see if I have any luck!
