i know it see,s silly with the switch, but I really want a wii portable. I understand the costs are high and timeline for delivery long. If someone has the bandwidth for a project like this please reach out to me and let's discuss costs, deposit, etc. thanks so much!
Hi Bitbuilt, I've lurked around this website and asked a few questions, but now it's time for me to work on my project. Like the title, the Mini Mii (might change, hopefully it's not taken either) is going to be my Portable Wii project I'm working on. Now I might not have the skills or knowledge...
Name is a wip.
Been a lurker for couple of weeks now and i been pretty stoked to make my own portable.
I been pretty obsessed with the switch's tabletop mode, so i wanted to make a tabletop wii portable.
This means no controller on the actual system itself, instead using external gamecube...
Crossing my fingers to hoping this name isn't taken.
So while this is technically going to be my second Wii Portable, I've never posted my worklog here, and my first portable is honestly not the greatest thing in the world. Also, it died a day after completion, and I haven't figured out what's...
So I’ve officially decided to make a work log of my wii, rather than just going for it simply because this is my 4th portable attempt, and the first time I intend to not rush the project.
I’m starting off with a wii with PortablizeMii installed, as well as the U10 relocation already performed...
I was just wondering if there were any graphics on relocating the memory card slots on a wii, i am planning on using the OMGWTF trim, and I have varified that it is a 4 layer board that I am using. I was just wonering if there were any vias or test points on the surface of the board after the...
Hey all, long time lurker here. I've been on this site long enough to see a bunch of work logs, read almost every guide, and even post a few memes.:D After all of this, I now think I'm ready to start making my Wii portable and have a work log of the wild ride that is going to be my build...
I have started a new project :)
Not sure when it will be finished though... I have many more things to do (getting married and all :D ). But I wanted to share my thoughts and progress so far:
The Case will (except for its thickness) look similar to the switch. I will design it from scratch and...
Hello I'm new to this all I've built a GC portable I'm now planning to make a Wii portable and I'm getting all the parts .....my question is can I use dsi sliders instead of the 3ds slider will they work the same??
I have worked on this project for 4 months now. I'm done. I have a video.
The first 2 minutes upon startup the screen goes crazy.
No idea how to fix that, but games play fine.
Inside is a mess.
Fin.
Good Hello,
As indicated in the title, I would love to create my own Wii portable. But, Even if I have already learned a lot about electronics, people who make their own consoles as well as how to trim a Wii, etc ... I'm still a beginner!
So if anybody have informations for me (like If there is...
Hey guys!! I've been working on another Wii portable and thought I better get a work log started.
Im really hoping to finish this one in time for the contest!
I'm planning on:

So I finally started to trim my wii motherboard, I've got to say it's a pain in the ass. Anyways after a long time of sanding I think I'm good. If anyone else has any advice I'd love to hear it, thanks.
Ok... due to a sudden boost in morale (and boredom) I've decided to put together a little worklog. I must warn you, however, since my money is really tight right now and since it's the end of the school year for me, this worklog is going to be very slow. With that being said, I'm not sure if I'm...
hi there is a black plastic part in the way of the OMGWTF trim. How do I remove the part that's in the way of the red line? Also if I get a ZN-45 case from polycase.com do I need to trim the Wii?
This is what I have so far. So I was wondering how can you tell what is the voltage on your screen/monitor? Another question how do I hook up the screen?
This thread will be my work log for my Wii portable. I am designing it to resemble the Nintendo switch, coming out on March 3rd, 2017. I am only going to start designing the case for the unit. I will also design the dock soon. hope you can stay up to date, so yeah. I won't update with pictures...
