    (Release) N64 GC

What in the world?! How does that work!? Did you make a thread for this somewhere?! And thanks! Your build has an amazing quality to it too!

    (Release) N64 GC

With all due respect, that's not really the point of this project. I made this because I thought it'd be cool to play N64 games on the Wii Virtual console with an original N64 controller. An analog joystick hampers the experience of playing most N64 games (since it uses C buttons rather than a...

    Question Trimmed wii not booting

Your wires are stripped waaaaay too far down. The B+ and B- wires being stripped as far down as they are is giving me anxiety, if the conductive sides of those touch at all, it could completely destroy everything connected to that PMS. This applies to all of your excessively stripped wires...

Question Getting solder out of a via

Nice work! Glad I was able to help! Good luck with the rest of your project!

Question Getting solder out of a via

It sounds like you might have too much solder on your iron. It also sounds like you might not have enough flux on the board. What brand of flux are you using? Also, what temperature are you soldering at? Your iron's temp also plays an important role depending on what technique you're using...

Worklog wiwi ps2 my first PS2 portable

This really is beautiful! We don't see too many PS2s these days. Loving the Switch style, it gives me Louii vibes! Can't wait to see this thing complete, it looks like you've got most of it figured out already. Crazy cool stuff dude!

    Worklog OpeN64 - Worklog

It's been a bit since I've posted an update, so I'll give a brief update of my progress here: I've gotten started on replacing my tags with wires here, and while I haven't gotten a ton done yet, I have at least finished making up all the symbols: I plan on splitting this up into multiple...

Question Getting solder out of a via

When you've got something like this it can be beneficial to flux the surface of the board as well as the solder braid before heating it. You may need to put a bit of pressure on it to ensure it makes proper contact with the via. Even then it can be difficult to get the solder out depending on...

Discussion New 2ds XL C stick replacement

I would imagine it's probably pretty similar to the main circle pad in terms of values, but this is more of a question for @Kamp . I remember him saying there's a utility in the system settings for configuring the circle pad, and I was able to find it a moment ago on my own 2ds XL, but I didn't...

Worklog [2025 Contest Entry] 2025 Summer Contest - The s00per64

The front of this unit is looking like an old classic N64 portable! I'm curious to know how comfortable the controls are in the hands. I imagine that having proper C buttons will probably be really nice for N64 games. I almost want to make something similar to this someday since I like...

Question Lost a resistor on the PMS 2

Sure thing! If I were you, I'd clean up the residual solder beads as those have shorting potential and could end up permanently damaging something if left as they are. For reference, I'm talking about this: It's also a good idea to clean up extra flux left on the board with some isopropyl...

Question Lost a resistor on the PMS 2

That's a capacitor that you knocked off, not a resistor. If I had to guess, I'd say that it might very well still work without that cap since caps tend to be redundant and there's usually more caps in place than are needed. That said, it would probably be best if you replaced it. There's no...

[2025 Contest Entry] CRT Micro - A Modernized Piece of Tube History

It's hard to believe that HDMI port on the PCB for this is an HDMI port. I feel like you're gonna have to take some pictures with some household objects for scaling to really drive home just how small this is. Also would definitely love to see this project in person if/when we meet up some...

    Worklog Kawaii

Stuff like this is why I decided not to buy any shells for this at all. I wouldn't be able to decide on just one color and as a result, I'd end up buying multiple beautiful colors like this (something I'd rather not do given my finances haha)! These shells really are beautiful, this is the...

    PMS dead?

What you're saying here makes sense, but shouldn't he be able to include the screen controller board in the circuit and wire the button presses to where each of the switches go accordingly? Obviously this could be optimized with resistors being soldered to the right point on the driver board...

    cy's $40 3d printing service

Thank you! Yeah, I'm surprised how well the Ashida shells have been turning out. My first few shells had a few minor artifacts in them, but it seems like the printer has "broken in" the more shells I've printed. I'm still surprised that my strategy for printing the Cyxty Four actually worked lol.
