    Worklog Xii-Boy Ultra - Bryce's Build [WORKLOG]

INTRODUCTION: For anyone unfamiliar with the Xii-Boy line of portables, these are projects created by @Xenii that enable you to convert a Nintendo Wii into a portable console with a Gameboy form factor. The Xii-Boy Ultra (XBU) is the latest and greatest by Xenii, and is possibly the best...

Question Ashida Build Help - Black screen for composite out

Ah, you’re correct about the 3.3v. My bad. I don’t age any computer on me with all my diagrams, and the image I saw online didn’t have 3.3v marked there.

Question Ashida Build Help - Black screen for composite out

Some things for you to do: - Remove all tiny passives near the edges that are cut at all. If you’re unsure if you can remove it, ask me. - Clean up those gashes as much as possible. They look pretty nasty. You’re right though, they’re probably not causing your issue. - I don’t know what’s...

    My first Wii Portable

Please try to limit the amount of posts you make in a row. It just clutters the thread. You can edit a post to add additional information if you feel the need. FDM is the cheapest in most cases if you own a printer or have one you can use. My public library has a Bambu X1I'm able to use for a...

    My first Wii Portable

Yes it’ll work fine. PCBWay just tends to be a bit more pricey. The print quality will largely be the same between the two companies

    BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

RVLoader patches IOS 36, 58, and 80 in order to remove the Wifi and Bluetooth requirements. Source should be found somewhere in here: https://github.com/Aurelio92/RVLoader You can actually install RVLoader on an untrimmed WIi, change the boot order to autoboot to the Wii System Menu again...

    Worklog Wii Mini Documentation

No problem. And @DekuNut my message was not there to be discouraging, sorry if it came across that way. Hopefully it is able to serve as another resource for us, and maybe even help verify your work! You can’t have enough documentation when it comes to these things.

    Black bars on Ashida Wii

On the blue driver board, you have to short pins with ground to activate the buttons. First hit "Menu", then "Volume Increase (+)" until you get to the "Auto Config" section. Then hit "Menu" to select it. I would highly recommend doing this while you're in a game. It doesn't always configure...

    RVLoader v2.1

Just want to clarify this - It’s a persistent change, not a permanent one. It will stay even after a reboot if you have it enabled, but like you mentioned Stitches you can disable it by rerunning the RVLoader installer. Not trying to shoot you down or anything, I just can see how that statement...

So excited for this, Xenii! The idea of a wire-free portable Wii that’s clean and simple to assemble is amazing, and will be perfect to allow more people to make their own portables!

    RVLoader v2.1

I agree 100%, support for System menu would be amazing. There are workarounds for just about everything you would access there though. The Mii channel can be loaded through the Channels section of RVLoader (you must acquire a WAD of it first though). Same applies to any other system channel...
