    Question Questions

I would just say to check you wiring, make sure YPbPr isn't wired backwards, make sure 5v and gnd is connected correctly, if it has an led it should be turned on.

    Question Questions

Are you making sure the mode pin is getting 3.3v? Sometimes I could get it work without mode and the color would be off and all staticky. Also have you tested the component without a wii2hdmi adapter? That could help single out where the problem is coming from.

Question Trimming on a bandsaw & PM usb question

Aren't bandsaws used for cutting wood? Don't forget that the mobo is mostly a copper plate. Yeah you can use another USB stick, just as long as you transfer everything. EDIT: (Also make sure the new USB also works. PortablizeMii could be finicky on some USB sticks)

Worklog [Nintendo WiicUbe] Portablized Wii in Wii U Gamepad

I would recommend getting the lm4863 amplifier it has a switching headphone jack and are headphone safe. And they have 3w left and right output for speakers. The one problem is that you would have to sacrifice volume control and find some other way to do it yourself. Either a...

    Question The red board question.

What others said about the red board using the charge source is correct, but it will also use the charge source while the batteries are charging, So make sure things you are wiring to your red board output to can handle 12v.

Worklog [Nintendo WiicUbe] Portablized Wii in Wii U Gamepad

You don't really need to wire the charge and play functionality as your CMB red board can already do that.

    Solved Amplifier board wiring

Can somebody help me (this is the amp from the bom), I feel like I wired this correctly yet I can't get it to work. I just wanted to test it so I hooked up my left and right input to a 3.5mm jack. My 5v source is coming from a 5v 2a USB source.

Question Wii portable in a WiiU gamepad

Don't practice on the u10 as I believe it's interchangable so if you break both u10 and u9 on your working Wii you gave 2 more. I use a different solderer (the one with adjustable temperature) but they have the same tip and I removed the u10 easily so size shouldn't be a huge problem. Also how...

Question Wii portable in a WiiU gamepad

The thing is the bluetooth vias is the only pro of 6-layer Wiis. You could find the 6-layer expansion a tide confusing. Also using a 4-layer will save you battery life by a ton. And since you are trying to fit the Wii into a Wii u gamepad (even if you are extending it) the cooling could be bulky...

Question Wii portable in a WiiU gamepad

I would recommend also reading all worklogs and questions posted on the wii forum in case someone already asked the same question. Why get a 6-layer Wii? They use more power and they generate more heat than the 4-layer. (Also I find harder to trim) Please read more about it about Wii Revision...

    Solved Trimmed Wii not detecting

Yeah that is what Stitches was saying. The USB port doesn't have a breakout board so I'll keep a teeny tiny amount of thick cable so I have something to actually solder too.

    Solved Trimmed Wii not detecting

The USB port I'm using is from a USB extension cable so I kept the inner cables from it because I was guessing it would have at least some protection. The reason there is magnet wire at the end is because it was soo much easier to solder to those two pins on cm1, I had a lot of struggle wiring...

    Solved Trimmed Wii not detecting

Before trimming I didn't twist them and it worked, maybe because there wasn't that many power lines nearby so there was no interference? I'll definitely try it. I know the traces to GPU is fine, because it worked once when I moved the USB so it seems there is any connection problem but my...

    Discussion Thin Shoulder Button Solutions

I haven't made it them yet but my idea was to have the the two tacts next to each other not behind each other with one squishy a bit closer for the slide and the other tact a bit farther away than the other for the click. Idk if that would work or if someone already did that

    Solved Trimmed Wii not detecting

I'm trying to wire my USB after trimming and my Wii isn't detecting any usb plugged in. I wired it and put hot glue over because the wires came off easily, I don't see any bridges and I'm getting contuinity between the wire and the two vias' they should connect too.
