    Ashida Wii Portable

It's for you to decide but I personally think it's worth it. better battery life with a better 1.8v LDO, better battery power reading and U10 emulation is nice to have if you mess up your U10 chips (although maybe the lite also has it? can't remember lol)...

    Ashida Wii Portable

yes I very much think it was you who suggested it lol. Sorry, it was such a long time ago and couldn't remember haha. Thanks for the suggestion, the console has improved massively without that annoying fan at full speed constantly.

    Ashida Wii Portable

Some (long) time ago, a user @Darkside19 suggested using this fan (model MF35100V2-1000U-A99) instead of the fan listed on the bom. I ordered one a long time ago but couldn't be bothered to switch it because that meant pretty much taking the whole thing appart lol. Anyway, I made a case swap...

Worklog Ashida build. My first portable.

Oh, there's something else. While doing the transplant, I took the opportunity to finally replace the fan with this one (model MF35100V2-1000U-A99 in case the link doesn't work anymore) as recommended by @Darkside19 a couple of years ago. Anyone reading in the future, I also recommend using...

Worklog Ashida build. My first portable.

The peel moment: After a year working flawlessly (the DD just needs a new bitstream on RVLoader to stop it crashing, hopefuly Aurelio makes it public one day lol) with the new case I can finally call this build complete. I'll probably start a new one some day where I'll add bluetooth and mx chip.

Worklog Ashida build. My first portable.

Finally got a proper printer and starting experimenting with other materials. Found this incredible filament from Bambulab, Translucent Teal PETG and printed a full case with it. Just finished transplanting my Ashida to it. The feel in the hands is incredible, it not only looks fantastic but...

    Ashida Wii Portable

Using 4layertech parts, It hovers between 220-300~ish depending on some options (like the ips generic driver vs the RVL-DD, PMS lite vs full, rvl amp, etc) you can go to their website and add the parts you ideally want to buy and check the price. Do note that if you go for the RVL-DD you only...

    Ashida Wii Portable

No offense, and I wish you the best luck, but all the information you need is right here for you, and there are A LOT of videos on the subject if you bother googling or something. Nobody is going to hold your hand through the whole process, it's a very advanced type of project and it's expected...

Question Ashida Build Help - Black screen for composite out

Again, did you measure the resistances from the voltage lines to ground and to each other? Do that and compare to the known values to know if you're in the ballpark. They help a lot with finding issues.

    Ashida Wii Portable

Yes there is. Search for it and you'll find it. Don't take this the wrong way, but don't expect for people here to be holding your hand throughout the whole process... Everything you need is right here, but you gotta put some effort from your own. Search for it and ask questions when you're out...

That file is just an alternative back with enough space to fit a noctua fan.

They're right, the download isn't working at the moment: "Sorry, you can't view or download this file at this time. Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared...

They're not "sensors" they're IR leds. The "sensors" are actually on the wiimotes themselves. You can put them on the console as shown above or maybe design a stand or something to prop up the console and put the LEDs there... They don't need to be connected to the wii motherboard.

    Ashida Wii Portable

ah yeah, like it's already been said, YMMV... however if you do bluetooth relocation, you could use an actual wiimote so I suppose that would make every game playable... although while technically possible, i'd imagine playing something like Wiisports with a tiny screen far away wouldn't be the...

Question Ashida Build Help - Black screen for composite out

FWIW I did have issues with the U10 emulation, it turns out that apparently the wire length matters and it was pretty normal for me to have to do multiple boots until it finally booted. I switched to a wireless U10 installation and that made it boot 100% of the time, no fail. Also is there any...

    RVLoader v2.1

I’m… Pretty sure Mario works fine on GC2Wiimote… just configure it as sideways wiimote. I don’t have my console with me right now but I’m pretty sure it works on mine… EDIT: ok was able to teast and yeah, NSM Wii works perfectly fine... Just configure wiimote orientation to sideways, I...

Check SDW and SCW. If they're not connected (or maybe the connection broke loose) then the menu would go away.
