Some work done on the rear of the case. Still some refinement, filling and sanding to do but it's getting there.

Some more work done on the case now that I got my plastic tubing. I cracked the Superpad open, looks a bit different in layout to the ones posted by VOS MOD and Jack Sasquatch, and the Google search image I posted earlier.

Well, as I mentioned, I trashed the board, so I need a new one. Shouldn't have been so hasty. I'll be sure to test the caps when I try again. Thanks for the input.

So I put the caps back to their original positions and the colour issue is still present. I assume something must have happened when I removed the caps with my heat gun. I used foil as a heat sheil to protect the areas I didn't want to mess with. Looks like a new driver board is needed.

Some good news. My Superpad came in the post today! In other news, I took some caps off the TFT driver board and reattached them with wires. This appears to have worked fine, other than screwing up anything with the colour red in it. Anyone have input as to the issue? Are my wires too long?

It looks great, but how does it feel to play? The layout of the B, A, C buttons looks like it would be tricky to handle.

Could that be remedied with other components between the amp and the pot? As you might be able to tell, I'm quite lacking when it comes to electronics know-how, but something like this must be fixable.

Hmmm, mono won't do. So one of these instead? Could you fill me in on how to wire it? I assume VUP/VDN go to the outer posts of the posts on the pot and the centre is ground? I notice the amp says 5v. Where do I connect it to, 7.4 or 3.3v?

In thinking of implementing an volume pot. I bought the amp recommended in the BOM. Is it possible to use one of the pots pictured with it? And how would I go about it?

Glad you like what I did with the cartridge. I took the logo for the front of my case from it, so it was good to not have the rest of it go to waste. Cheers for the pictures of the controller. I have one ordered, but I'll have to wait until the post starts up again until I see it. Nice avatar...

I halved and extended a cartridge to make the rear of the case. I managed to get the screen, driver board, Everdrive, N64 and the batteries inside and still have it shut. Hopefully I can get the controller, power regulator, audio amp and wires in there too, there looks to be some empty spots...

I'd have to get it imported, so the cost would be high. I can grab a Superpad easily enough for not a lot of money. It would also be a shame to hack up a nice new pad when I can repurpose an old one.
