I also mess around with audio DSP and assembly when I need to go low-level and squeeze performance out of older hardware. I also have SN Systems TDEV, it pretty much a GameCube with 48MB of RAM and region(US\JP) switch wired to the main PCB board and IPL ROM is set to DEV mode in SRAM plus uses a NR Drive, in order words just a DVD Drive with diff firmware. so it like a NR Reader but more RAM.
I also have the SN USB2 rare cable and two boot NR Discs I bought as well, I use my windows XP dev PC for connecting the USB2 cable and Ethernet Cable to the Nintendo GameCube (SN-TDEV) devkit. I do development in Visual Studio Pro 2005 and SN Systems ProDG.
