Personally I don't know of anyone reputable doing Kawaii commissions currently due to the difficulty alone. Regardless, I'd expect you to pay well over $1000 if you do manage to find someone willing to do it that's worth their salt. Kawaii is not at all meant for practical use either, so it's...

EDIT - See the below addendum. I did some further research, looks like Dreamshell might actually support doing this over G1. Unfortunately this does not work. IDE CD-ROMs use fundamentally different communication protocols over the same "IDE" connection, and one that Dreamshell/whatever else...

1. You clearly can, if you were able to reply to this thread. The welcome thread doesn't enforce different permissions than this thread does that would effect your ability to post in it as a brand new account. You're specifically intended to post in the welcome thread as soon as you join. 2...

It is now passed the deadline for registration, so unfortunately you will not be able to participate this year. There's always next year! :D

Same sort of deal, yeah.

In the case of the DS, unfortunately it's not that simple. DS games use mask ROMs, not programmable flash chips or EEPROMs (they do for save but not for game data). Mask ROMs embed game data in silicon, they're made at the chip fab to be that specific game and only that game, so unfortunately...

Would you be able to post pics of the internal wiring? That generally helps with sales, and is pretty standard practice here so potential buyers can judge the quality of a build before purchasing. Looks incredibly clean though!

Yeah that would be ideal. Something that can simplify the install of the RGBDRV/LCDDRV mod found here, so you don't have to do point to point fly wiring. Definitely feel free to make a worklog if you go down that route!

Thanks for sharing. I knew when I saw Cosam credited in the controller PCB repo, I should have checked to see if he made a GT board recreation. Awesome to see!

Sounds like a fun idea. As d3z0rian mentioned earlier, someone did already create the controller PCB for the GT, so "half" of the work has already been done for you. Unfortunately they did not implement the link cable & sleep functionality, so I would spend some time reimplementing those...
