I mean for general tips I guess it's not bad. It's seriously dated though and you'd probably learn more from reading through worklogs on the forums.

It's up to you if you wang to use that as a guide.
Imo the best way to start is to check worklogs and read them. Lots of ideas can be inspired by the work of others.
