Hi everyone!! I hope you’re doing well.
Today, I’d like to present to you my portable PS2 project. It’s been a few months now since I started working on it.
I began by installing Fusion 360 — yes, it’s my very first time using 3D modeling software. After finding and listing pretty much all the parts and components that will go into the PS2, I started modeling them one by one.
It was quite a struggle since I was learning at the same time. It took several prototypes and tests before reaching what I believe to be the final version. But in the end, I’m pretty proud of the result.
Feel free to let me know what you think! Here are some photos.
In parallel with the 3D design, I made a test setup with all the main components.
Everything worked on the first try. Looks promising for what’s next!!!
Here’s pretty much everything that’s going to be inside the console.
Alright, I think that’s it for today.
I’ll start building it tomorrow and I’ll give you an update in 2-3 days.
So, for the name of my portable PS2 I honestly had no inspiration, so I took it from my YouTube nickname, WizardMaker, and came up with Wiwi PS2.
(It’s not the official name yet, so if you’ve got more inspiration than me for a name, feel free to share!)
