Question Where to start with an N64 Portable?

Hi,
I'm fairly new to this, and am wondering where and how I should go about making my first Portable. Does anybody have any information or guides that could help me get started?

This is where I started ! Trimming the board is fun! Check out my thread if you are curious about the power wiring! Cheese helped me out with that and E64 got me started. Great community here! Downing also has his website with guides. Good luck to you! I am working on my first portable which is a n64. Pretty noob friendly with the soldering points being larger than smaller ones (like the Wii). I am not going to touch a Wii until I get done with the N64 portable.

Also if you don't have a soldering kit yet then I would practice on the cut off N64 like I did. Or look up a fun kit to do with electronics
