So I’ve trimmed my Wii and all of my voltage lines read regular resistances except for 3.3v

it reads 3.4k ohms sometimes and 8.6k ohms other times (I think it’s just my multimeter). I’ve read in other threads that these are both pretty normal resistances and should work, but when I connect my pms lite to the Wii it won’t turn on. And when I touch just the 3.3 and ground lines to the board the pms shuts off.

I’ve sanded the boards edges to 1000 grit so I’m really not sure where the short could be. I have checked my pms lite and it’s putting out the exact right voltages. Also I’m using 22 gauge wire so those aren’t the problem.

any help would be greatly appreciated, I’ve attached pics of the board and my setup. Thanks!

Forgot to mention it, because I’m not sure how important it is but I haven’t relocated U10 so the U5 chip is still on the board. I’m planning on using the U10 emulator on the pms

Okay, Its been fixed for a while I just forgot to update this. The wires on the cheap battery holder were way too thin. I used the right gauge and it worked.
