Question Want to start project but don't know where to begin

Hey guys i'm new here, and boy is this all so new and confusing to me. This will be my first electronic project
ever besides some 3ds hardmod. I want to try making a WII portable with the omgwtf trim but I really don't know where to start. Like how much knowledge of voltage and stuff would I need to know before starting? Also what are custom regulators ? Do I need more than one? Are custom regulators always necessary? Because what iv'e looked up so far has been pretty vague. Sorry if its way to many questions I'm just really new to this and couldn't find any specific information.

Start by looking through the Guide hub. There's a guide on custom regulators as well as trimming.

There's not too much you need to know, just cut on the line and connect together the parts with some wires
