Anyone had experience with these? I found a worklog from the benheck forums that used something from it, and they included nice board shots. Can anyone confirm they work well or that they're total shit? I've found a few for like 5$ on eBay, and I was hoping they'd work well enough for some kind of portable.

I've used those before. They are usable for portables but the pcb quality is crappy. I would recommend using an official one with a converter chip.

Most third party controllers are shit. The traces are very small and you'd have to solder to raw board if you want to chop it off at all, so it's much easier to go with a first party (not to mention the chip can be run without the board if you need something tiny)
