PS2 9xxxx board internal PSU alternative

Hey guys, would I can use as an alternative to power a ps2 9xxxx board to make it portable?
Does the board use the same 8.4v like the 79xxx board?

Yes, 9000x series can be used with two 18650 batteries. In my experience, it can run for about 1.5 hours. I made many PS2 protable with wiiu shell,

Yes, it's an injection moulded ABS frosted case.
