Apologies if this seems like a silly question, but after seemingly just bricking my 5th Wii and considering buying a 6th one, I'm starting to think about cost-saving measures.
I've seen the operating current for the Wii in this thread, and it seems like a regular LDO should suffice.

I'm not entirely sure about the implications, so I'm wondering if it's possible to trim down the PMS to only output 5V, then use LDOs to convert that 5V into 3.3V (1A), 1.15V (2A), 1.8V (1A), and 1V (2A) respectively.
Would the power management system of this trimmed-down PMS still function properly? If it's theoretically feasible, I'd like to give it a try.
