Hey everyone!
I'll be losing my finance job in the coming months due to the machines taking over -so I figured I'd start making my own machines work a little harder this summer as punishment
If you've seen some of my other posts, lately I've been cooking up some custom inlays, multicolor prints, etc. etc.
I wanna be able to extend some of these sick looking prints out to you guys in the form of a printing service, as well as offer some additional things that the big name manufacturers won't really do for you (without paying mondo doubloons anyway).
I'll make updates to this post as I go along, adding or removing services & example pics as needed.
To show my track record, I have 1k+ sales between etsy & ebay (and probably another few hundred or so in-person deals made at trade shows, events, etc.)
Also feel free to check out my channel linked below to see that I am in-fact a real ninja turtle (shameless plug). Excited to hopefully show off some of the commissions on there too!

Examples of some of my previous prints:
Printer / Filament info:
The main printer that will be used for these services is a Bambu P2S w/ AMS2 Pro.
It yields some really nice looking prints - Expect some imperfections and visual layer lines, as it's still an FDM printer. Though overall, parts are pretty damn nice coming from the P2S in my opinion.
As far as filaments go, I print most everything in PLA, PETG (various brands), and HTPLA (Protopasta & Polymaker). Glitter filaments are totally chill! (though I will not be printing filaments with more abrasive additives such as carbon/glass fiber, metals, etc.)
Below I've listed some general info about each option so that you can choose what would work best for your build!
(this info is streamlined a bit to be more relevant to the types of projects we do here on the forums - if I've made any mistakes, let me know!)
PLA
•Temp resistance - can start softening between 50-60C (not recommended for small / higher-heat builds - aka Louii / G-boy)
•Screw post durability - somewhere between PETG and HTPLA. Screws go in fairly easy, but can still be prone to snapping sometimes
•Most popular filament type, so has the most color options overall
PETG
•Temp resistance - handles up to 70C well without deforming (higher temp than any portable should ever be running at anyway)
•Screw post durability - screws go in pretty easy & hold well (can strip similar to resin, just not as easily)
•Comes in lots of colors, opaque or translucent, some glitter options (brands like Cookiecad)
HTPLA
•Temp resistance (un-annealed) - definitely higher than normal PLA. Polymaker claims "HT-PLA delivers heat stability up to 150°C—right off the print bed, no post-processing required." It does seem to start warping before reaching this temp, so I'd suspect more realistically right around the same as PETG or a bit higher before softening.
•Screw post durability - holds well (a little too well sometimes), is prone to snapping. I recommend getting close to exact screw size for the holes, maybe even opting for heat inserts instead.
•Lots of cool colors w/ glitter options, mostly opaque. Some options with a tiny bit of translucency (still usually enough for some LEDs to shine through)
Standard Printing Service:
Below is a list of prices for printing cases for some of the more popular portable designs, and generally what you can expect from the base level service. If there's something else you're looking to get printed that's not on the list, I am totally open to talk it over and try to work out a quote!
For all of the following base prices listed, I can include:
• full printed shell in a color of your choice***
• any of the required mounts / buttons needed for the build (can be in different color than main shell if I've got it on hand)
• timelapse footage files of the print (from internal P2S camera)
• general cleanup of the print (no sanding) - removing supports, trimming edges. Still expect to do some trimming/scraping for final button fitments, etc. but I'll try and get a lot of it outta the way!
***Note: If choosing filament from one of the more premium brands like Protopasta, Cookiecad, etc., there will be an additional flat surcharge of +$15. Thank you in advance for understanding!
Misc. other things:
*Postage will be calculated once the item(s) are being prepared for shipping. I am located in the US - My shipping accounts do usually provide a decent discount, so it shouldn't be too bad here in the states. However, for international, nowadays they charge an arm and a leg as I'm sure you all know. If you'd like, I can always provide a rough estimate during our planning process, but do keep in mind it could possibly change due to the uncertain state of the world right now.
Payment Info:
For commissions, I like to request that at least half of the base costs are paid as an up-front deposit and the other half be paid when the item(s) are ready to be shipped, along with the costs associated with the shipping. As for payment methods I mainly prefer to stick with paypal or venmo, and maybe the occasional zelle.
In the event that I have attempted to reach out regarding the commission and have not received a response for more than 30-days, the project may be considered abandoned. In that case, any deposit paid will be forfeited to cover time, labor, and materials already allocated to the project. By starting a commission with me it is assumed that this information has been read through and that you agree to these terms.
Add-ons & Additional Services:
All the other fun stuff!
Pricing on most of these will be heavily dependent on what exactly it is your looking for - size, design complexity, placement, etc.
So I'm mostly just going to be giving a list of capabilities here of myself and my printer, and we can further discuss pricing if any of it interests you!
• Multicolor prints
• Logo & text inlays
• Custom character artwork inlays
• Shell modifications / custom buttons (see previous images of g-wii and ashida shells)
• Full portables / console mod commissions
Need something else? I may still possibly be open to discussing it, feel free to DM me!
