Hey all,
Just after some advise to try and diagnose my issue and hoping I haven't cooked something important
I was doing a repair of the DC jack on my slim (model as title) and didn't notice that some strands of the desolder braid were left behind and briefly bridged the 8.5v and ground.

Hello! Can anyone give me some more things to try in regards to a few shorts I found?
I have a short to ground on the 1.15V line (Continuity mode; One probe on ground screwpost, another on the 1.15V point mentioned here; and I'm getting a beep). This makes some sense because it is fairly close...
I trimmed my wii and sanded the hell out of it but it still has shorts I had tape over everthing while trimming. Im reading these ressitances:
1v to Ground: 0.7Ohm
1.15 to Ground: 75.8Ohm
1.8 to Ground: 37.1Ohm
3.3 to Ground: 1.5Ohm
There are no visible shorts between the layers and I sanded up...
Story time: I trimmed the board, relocated U10, and connected voltages to the board from the PMS. The board booted, to my delight. But then, disaster struck. I was considering removing the LDO to save some room in my case, and so I was probing with my multimeter to find where the 1.8 V output...
hello, could someone help me? I have a ps2 fat scph50011 with motherboard gh26. I've had it for a long time, but about 5 years ago I stopped using it for lack of time. A few months ago I tried to use it again, but when I turned it on the image looked bad, so I restarted it but took out a spark...
This is my first time posting sorry for anything wrong.
I trimmed my 6 layer Wii and relocated the U9 chip because my U10 broke.
The 1.15v, 1v and 1.8v lines are all reading as continuous to ground. 3.3v is not reading as continuous but has low resistance.
What do I do to fix this.
The gray...
So I was wiring up the 3v lines to the bluetooth module and I accidentally hit the ground pin of my power switch (soldered to the board ground) with the end of one of the wires because I'm dumb and wasn't being careful and paying attention. Saw and heard a spark and now the board wont boot. The...
