Hello, after my first great experience in the portabilization of console (O-Wii), I really want to make a portable PS2 !
So here is my worklog :D
Here are the ideas that I think to integrate :
Custom buttons PCBs with PS2+ on it + RGB led, power button, L1 + R1 (and maybe U-Amp on one side)...
Oh ! clamshell, very interesting :D
I think you can 3d print the hinges and make it a part of the case, I have already did this in a case for a 3d printer board and it work pretty good (with a metal rod in the middle).
For the name : DSWii ?
I can't wait to see more
@ohkin86 Thank you very much <3, this is exactly what I was looking for ! I had tried to do some but failed to do them !
It can be very good for making PS2 pads custom pcbs due to the analog button.
@Quakers Haha, com on to France !
@Emetsys The L R buttons that I used are dual tacts,
they are...
thanks for the link, yes the board look big.
I love trimming thing, so I think I wiil go to order one and watch if I can trim the board smaller
For the L R that's what I thought.
For having used the dual tacts in my wii I find it rather good but surely less precise than using the...
Pretty good job, I like the screen the viewing angle are amazing and battery time is :o 7h !
Do you have a link for the display ? I think it can be a perfect must have for my 7inch O-Wii, the screen I have used is pretty cheap.
Your custom design for the L R look good, by the use how it feel ?
Thank you @Noah, for the next I think to build a PS2 Portable ... but maybe for the 2021 contest, or a very tiny portable Wii like the GCii Pocket with Omega trim, and many other awesome project ;)
@Emetsys Thank you very much I hadn't thought of that !
I have to try to put games in NTSC to...
I have finished the YouTube Video of the making of my O-Wii :
I plan to do english subtitles soon !
And her it is the piece you need to make it :
I will post the 3d files as soon as I have tested and implemented the last modifications (Custom NDS pad PCB with GC+ 2.0 on it)
I'm still waiting...
Hello, I have tried several time to run mario galaxy or other games without wii mote with GC2Wiimote.
But I don't understand how to get the pointer to be controlled by the C stick.
I tried all option and it doesn't work for me, and I have a connexion error with the "virtual wii mote"
Other...
Wow very nice work, It's very impressive and look very clean
I really like to see how far we can go in miniaturization, And I think making it smaller is going to be complicated
I would very much like to challenge myself to make a very small version of portable wii like this one, do you have a...
Since I finished my first O-Wii I thought of several improvements I could make
So I decided to made a V1.2 of my O-Wii, here is what I added/modified :
- Some little improvement for case :
hole size adjusment, modification of the hole for cooling, rounding of the air outlet.
- I added a Z2...
I finished the ABXY PCB, it has GC +2.0 on it With DRV2603, start button, Joystick FFC connector and 10 pin FFC connector for the future LRUD PCB.
I need to build the LRUD PCB, then order and test everything and I think that with these new pcbs my O-Wii will be much cleaner
Thanks for your response, let's try this
I have dismount my old first nintendo ds and measure with my new digital calipper, it is very precise
I just finished doing the library on eagle, if someone wants it I could share it with you (once I have tested that it's ok).
Now I make a custom GC...
Hello, I have already tested to create NDS lite contact pad in Eagle for my O-Wii.
But they were fucked up, and I had a hard time making them :
I searched a lot but I did not find anything conclusive.
I have already tried but I am not able to make precise round shapes, And I don't know the...
Yes I wired i2s,
I will try to as you say.
It is true that there is a lot of wire passing aside, it is possible that there is interference.
other than that the sound is really good :)
