    cy's $40 3d printing service

Hi, I am able to print you a PS2 ultra slim case, but I am unable to make a clear one since my printer isn't really capable of printing a clear material. Technically I think it would be possible, but it wouldn't be anything like this one. If you want one that is clear, you'll have to order it...

Worklog Cyxty Four Worklog (Ashida style N64 portable)

Yeah, I was sort of thinking the same thing. Before I have the shell printed, I'm going to make a cut down version of it on my printer as a proof of concept for printing to make sure everything mounts properly. When I do this, I'll be sure to do a cooling test with everything enclosed the way...

Worklog Cyxty Four Worklog (Ashida style N64 portable)

I put copper plates on the bottom of each of the heatsinks using the adhesive that was already attached to said heatsinks. This was done so I'd be able to use thermal paste instead of the semi-permanent adhesive that comes on the heatsinks by default for mounting. I appreciate the suggestion...

Question PlayStation 2 Portable USB Speed Workaround?

As @Stitches said, SD loading is always an option. It is faster than USB loading, and has the benefit of being fairly low-profile. Wesk's PS2 Ultra Slim build goes over how you can do it pretty easily.

    Ps2boy

I've been following this project for a little while now, and I gotta say, it really has turned out beautifully! I'm not real familiar with the PS2 motherboard, but knowing it fits inside a Gameboy shell like this really is a sight to behold much like the Wii. Does this build still feature...

    Worklog CrazyGadget's First N64 Portable - NSight64

That Akira flex really is clean and sexy man! The working trim you have is also beautiful as well! The cartridge slot is one of those things that CAN be relocated without too much difficulty at all, but the amount of magnet wire it adds really makes it a headache during and after the...

Worklog Cyxty Four Worklog (Ashida style N64 portable)

Notice how the end outlined by the green circles isn't enclosed? Well, the end outlined by the orange circles isn't enclosed either, and the center area between the heatsinks is mostly hallow. The intention is for this to be a tunnel that goes all the way through from the top to the bottom of...

Worklog Cyxty Four Worklog (Ashida style N64 portable)

Time for another update! Up to this point everything was going pretty smoothly, but it wouldn't be my first original portable if I didn't make a few mistakes along the way... So let's get those out of the way and then we'll move on to the good stuff! Going in order of events, I designed and...

Release F64 Controller Relocation PCB (Joystick, FRAM, and NUS-CNT Fusion)

The original files I posted for this had an incomplete schematic that didn't include the resistors, capacitor, or Oscilator. There may be a few other minor issues with this, but for now I've updated the schematic and everything else should check out. If you find any other issues, please let me...

    Finished GalaxyBoy rev3

This has to be one of the neatest designs I've seen on the G-Boy! Really has that galaxy style 3ds vibe to it: Internals look pretty solid too! Beautiful work!

Release F64 Controller Relocation PCB (Joystick, FRAM, and NUS-CNT Fusion)

As many of you know, I've been working for quite a while now on an N64 portable of my own. Along the way I've developed several of my own PCBs including an N64 controller relocation PCB. This board allows you relocate the NUS-CNT controller chip and oscillator found on OEM N64 controllers...

    Worklog CrazyGadget's First N64 Portable - NSight64

I ended up designing my mounting PCB for the cartridge slot to have 8 screw posts because of how tight it was as you had said. Interestingly enough, not all of them are this tight believe it or not. Over time, I've found myself getting two different ones from different sources that both look...

Worklog Cyxty Four Worklog (Ashida style N64 portable)

Thank you for sharing this, I had no idea anything like it existed. As cool as that looks, I'm planning on trimming the original one down and I've already began work on a mount for it. The main reason I wanted to use the original connector was because it is easy to get off the motherboard and...

Worklog Cyxty Four Worklog (Ashida style N64 portable)

It's been quite some time since I posted an update on this project. Over the last few months, I wanted to relax and enjoy what was left before classes started back up. That didn't stop me completely however... For starters, I realized I was going to need a good controller solution for this...
