Do you have solder grease? Or are you just smearing solder over a wire and the connection?

Grease, not flux! Flux is actually more agressive than grease!

Just try it on the ones with fused pins.

Desolderbraid... If not available, strip a multistranded wire, add some solder grease to exposed wire ( you may expose a large portion) hold in front of solder with your iron closeby, melt solder and drag towards wire... Wire will absorb solder. Repeat until pins are no longer fused...

Those other two actually look better... But do need some cleaning. Find a pin on the controller chip thats 3.3v and gnd... There are several. Multimeter if they are shorted or not. Start there.

Maybe we can spot the issue if you make a clear picture of the boards ;) As Peppy said: Never give up, trust other forum members' instincts :p

Thanks! I never make a portable without all original buttons being used. That's just how I roll dog. Why GC instead of Wii? Well the customer asked for it :D . My next portable will most likely be a Wii if I can get my hands on a 4 layer NTSC-U board. (@Shank ship me one please ;) hehehe)...

Ok I just tested composite only on my Gamecube and that works. Which means the RGB is busted for some reason :/
