    Attaching a digitizer

Thanks for the advice!! I even know a photographer with a dark room, so it should be relatively easy to do, will even save me a few fractions of a millimeter lol

    Attaching a digitizer

Hey hey all!! Here's a question: Does anyone know where one might get a thin sheet of double sided tape (probably 0.5 to 1mm) cut to a particular shape? I need to attach a glass touchscreen digitizer to an LCD you see

For reflow you can just heat it to between 233 and 250 degrees Celsius, most will just do 240 degrees

This guy!!! I fully endorse the emulation approach, and I find it EXTREMELY clever to use an existing small form factor device with a very powerful chip on it. Super good!!! And yes you will very likely need to design something for the heatsink. I've been trying to find a fabricator for such a...

    Release PS2+ Official Release

Well let me put it this way, I'm actually pursuing a similar route with my device, and this is the compute module I'm using: https://www.wdlsystems.com/Kontron-COMe-cVR6-AMD-V1807B-CPU-COMe-Compact-Type-6-8GB-RAM It has about the same power as a mid tier gaming laptop, and yes, it CAN handle...

    Release PS2+ Official Release

Sorry dude but the Pi just isn't capable of that level of processing throughput, but either way the PS2+ is a controller replacement for the PS2 that seeks to remove the incredible pain in the A, that internally wiring a Dual shock 2 can be. It probably wouldn't even be compatible with the Pi...

Well gosh darn it if talking to you about this hasn't given me the bug lol, here is, for anyone who wishes to use it, a Flat Flex PCB that can be ordered from OSH Park to make the VGA mod less like spaghetti: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/zM3fq1nE You just place it over the footprint of...

Advise and help building a PS2 Portable

Well I can certainly understand your drive. I too decided to learn all the skills of the trade on a PS2 portable project, and it led me down a rabbit hole of disciplines, eventually I was able to solder as well as @Gman does now (he's actually someone you should talk to, he's developed a lot of...

Advise and help building a PS2 Portable

I would advise against using that screen, as you have no idea how big the driver board is, and with the composite input, the image quality is going to be scheisse. You should look into any of the screens marketed toward single board computers like the Raspberry Pi, they'll have far better...

Question Project and advice on a portable model scph 79004

The standard cut runs through the LAN port, but if you'd like to keep it intact, or at least keep the pad holes intact, you can just modify the cut to go around it. You may need to reroute the 5 volts it uses, but that's easy to do, you just need to run a wire.

Question Project and advice on a portable model scph 79004

OKAY!!! Lets see if I can do this in numerical order: 1) The screen resolution you've selected is a little unusual, but should work, do you have a particular model in mind? 2) Batteries designated 18650 are just a cylindrical version of a lithium polymer (lipo) battery, the alternative being a...
