May I present, the network adapter and SATA bridge chip board: I am still trying to figure out if the CXD9731AGP chip will even work without the Ethernet chip attached, and whether i should ground the inputs, or leave them floating, or pull them high, or pull them low... It's a real...

@Mister M You're absolutely right!! I will need to length match the traces for the RAM chip bus. Thanks for making sure I knew about that. I probably would have run into some pretty nasty performance issues otherwise. You're the best!

So I know you said you don't care, but if you wanted to eliminated those little gaps on the front of your case, (I assume you print it face down) increase the initial layer flow by 10-20%. I find this makes for a cleaner surface when printing cases like these

Well here is the result of a little over a month's work. There's still a fair bit of place holding going on, but the majority of the core I/O has been routed. What I'm currently figuring out is power domains, which regulators to use, what base voltage to run at, etc. Since there really isn't any...

    Voltage Regulators and Current

Hey buddy don't sweat that, if only you knew how many pieces of crap tech I've bought for my projects... Anyway you definitely want to use switching regulators (or buck converters, as they are sometimes known) as they are by far the most efficient, and actually do follow the rule that @Stitches...

DING DING DING!! That's right!! I'll post a preview of the work I've done so far soon, but my trial of DipTrace has once again expired, so I'll need to reinstall Windows before I can do anymore work on it. (And before all you KiCad and EasyEDA and Altium etc. users start telling me how silly...

Can I use this Samsung tablet battery

I agree, but if you're set on using flat form factor prismatic cells, check out YDL battery. I bought two of these for my Pi-Boy https://ydlbattery.com/collections/1400mah-2000mah/products/3-7v-1500mah-803450-lithium-polymer-ion-battery

The thing about the stock regulators is that they assume the presence of a disc drive, where as PS2+ does not, and as a result doesn't convert as much power at once, which is much more in tune with a USB drive, so I would personally recommend you get one, it's the kind of thing I would have...
