Are you testing it in game though? If you aren't getting an animation, this usually points to problem with the SCL SDA wires, and possibly the 1.8v too.

It looks to me that you have soldered one of the wires to the wrong via. Check again! Also the homebrew menu doesn't have any audio, you need to load a game to test it

Some of those components are actually necessary. Removing some of them will seriously affect video quality or it may not work at all.

Thanks for the support guys! We got a handful of rev5s, 7s, and 9s from Shank so along with our bountiful of rev4s that hits all the points we need for N64. We'll let you know if we need any more but that should be enough for us to finish the guide and then we'll see where we're at.

No you cannot use a 6layer wii. They consume more power and the rvlpms cannot power a 6layer wii

No the paths don't need to be "perfectly recreated" however certain circuits need to follow good electrical design in order to function, especially the RDRAM routing. There are guidelines online you can read about this to ensure reliability.

Yup looks virtually identical. What i love about relocating the PIF is that the differences in routing between revisions can be ignored as you wire directly to correct spot. If we get our hands on the PAL boards Noah is going to take professional photographs of them for documentation.
