This seems like a matter for small claims court. I’m not sure what you expect the forum mods to do here. @cfc_12 do the right thing please

The Ashida uses the OMGWTF here: https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/ashida-wii-portable.4529/) The OMGWTF trimming guide is here: https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/the-definitive-wii-trimming-guide.198/ There is a 6-layer "version" of OMGWTF but you don't want to use it in...

Release Fujiflex (GCVideo DVI flex PCB)

It depends on the display. None of the HDMI displays/driver boards I used during testing required 5V to operate, but many do - especially TVs - so it depends what you are building. GameCube controller navigation of the GCVideo menus worked fine for me using the stock shuriken-wii bitstream.

Release Fujiflex (GCVideo DVI flex PCB)

Typically the 3V3 and 1V8 lines that power fujiflex will also be switched off when your portable is powered off or in standby mode. If you are using one of the 4layertech power supplies, this is certainly the case. The 5V line is only used for hot plug detect.

    My first Wii Portable

Hey Logan, welcome to the hobby! As amazing as the Xii-Boy is, I'd strongly recommend starting with an Ashida as your first project. Are you comfortable with assembling surface-mount components onto bare PCBs? Also, in your screenshot you have the Xii-Boy flex PCB listed as a rigid PCB rather...

Worklog LumaDoub: An Open Source Line-Doubler and Transcoder

Unfortunately I think this is it. Even with zero overhead you won't be able to clock out the i2c commands fast enough. Assuming this is standard-ish 3 byte i2c payload of [target address][register address][register value], thats 29 bits of data (3 bytes + acks + starts and stops). Clocking this...

Release Fujiflex (GCVideo DVI flex PCB)

If you only need HDMI output, the AVE is not required when using fujiflex. It is worth noting that the AVE will continue working just fine alongside fujiflex, so you can keep both if you'd like the option of both analog and digital video output, or don't want to remove the AVE.

Guide Miscellaneous diagram thread (MX, Bluetooth module pinouts, etc)

Hey folks! Back when I was doing my research into "soft shutdown" I created a couple of pinout diagrams for the Wii Bluetooth module and the MX23L4005 mask rom chip ("MX"). The MX pinout has been floating around Discord but I wanted to share these diagrams here for posterity. Edit...

Secret Santa 2024: Post/Discuss your gifts here!

Have you ever seen that old imgur thread where the guy keeps finding stuff in his thrift store GameCube? Well, that's what opening my secret santa package felt like this year! First up was a super nice soft-wall cooler - my wife and I had been planning on buying one of these as recently as last...

Question RVL AMP presses volume up constantly

The headphone sense castellated pad (HS) on the RVL-AMP is directly electrically connected to the tip switch pad for the headphone jack. I’m not sure why you would need to add an additional wire here, unless you severed the trace between HS and the headphone jack somehow.
