I don't really understand what you mean by "to allow for both MX4 and USB compatibility?". The USB port functions just like it would on an untrimmed PS2 when power is reapplied to it.

This really isn't the thread for your questions and they are better directed to the PS2 specific forums. Playing PS1 games via SD/USB or HDD is pretty bad on PS2 as it is primarily emulation (not good emulation) and I'd advise against it. All your other questions are best directed elsewhere.

Update: Still waiting on parts to arrive but I'm hoping we can effectively cool the system with dual M.2 coolers. This would simplify the cooling setup significantly. We are also planning on supporting both VA0 and VA1 Dreamcast motherboards provided the VA0's don't run too toasty...

I can't confirm but it's not a dead short so it's likely just low resistance. If the system fires up and the controller works then you should be good?

Redesign is mostly complete, and to bring it to the masses it's looking like this will be a joint collab between @CrazyGadget , @Y2K and myself. The unit is larger now having grown from 25mm tall to 32mm but the quantum jump in aesthetics has more than made up for it.

Design rework has begun....

The 900XX boards are significantly different and creating an Ultra slim of that design would be extremely tricky. It's many factors easier to find a 79k model.
