Does anyone know if I wire the data line directly to the controller chip? I had connection perfectly before I wired up the buttons but now that it's installed with the buttons and stuff it no longer works :/ I'm not getting 100ohms from the input to the pin either. Suggestions?

The Sewell Wii to HDMI is the best around. It doesn't upscale but it gives the best 480p HDMI image possible.

Adding to this, SS, Zenloc said in his guide you need to have caps on the input and output. Is this incorrect?

For 1.9v you need to have a 100uf capacitor on the input and output. It doesn't look like you have one on the output because I can't really tell from your pictures but make sure you have one on your output. If you triple check your wiring and any other possible problems and it doesn't work, try...

Not to deter you from your vision but I'd like to let you know building a portrait portable is much tougher than landscape. My first portable and the second one I'm currently working on are both portrait and that simple fact has been one of my biggest issues.

That's so awesome to hear. I'll definitely be making my next portable a Wii. EDIT: also from what I understand, in anything other than GameCube software, the Wii doesn't even access the memory card at all so performance might not be increased.
