    GameBoy 64! V2.0

To be honest it runs great, but i might stop making n64 portables unless i find a solution for the expansion pack, even when nothing is touching, if you shook it a bit, it'll freeze up. If i ever decided to make an n64 portable next time, it'll be the expansion pack soldered instead of in the...

I’ve been using it for a while now and everything’s good, I’m using heatsinks and the fan kind of blows near that area since there’s a small opening from that angle. Thing is, I kind of used a big fan, now I have a fan that’s like 50% smaller than the one I used, so on my next project, I’ll...

So, after a couple of days of finishing the circuitry as well as finishing the back case, the project comes to an end. i didn't take pictures of the internals because it's the same as the previous version, but with improved wire management. The highlight is that instead of using 30AWG magnet...

Hello @Noah I’m curious to see how you’ll use the joycons analog stick with the n64, if you dont mind, when you reach that stage, can you show some information about how you did it and what you needed to do it? Otherwise, I can’t wait to see the progress of this masterpiece.

Wouldn't you use a potentiometer for this kind of application? variable resistance to control the current? or are you doing something else?

    Question an assembly problem

I guess that's kinda good(?), he didn't just forget the wires, he forgot to also clean those pads but we're past this point. the matrix infinity is a mod chip that allows of a lot of things to be done on the ps2 like clone CD reading, etc.. let him send it to you if you didn't find it because...

If you look at the first picture, you'll be able to see that white thing? that's a double sided tape, i was actually thinking about it, but i dont trust it's adhesiveness, i dont want my PMS falling after a while haha. But i probably should look for a good double sided tape nonetheless.

A small update. I went ahead and disassembled the screen, because the last one was bubbly, and this one looks great. I connected the buttons all together to form a common ground between both sides, and Here's the layout of the internals at the moment: the small breadboard is there to form...

    Question an assembly problem

You should just ask for the disk reader imo even if it's faulty, it's not up to him to keep it for himself. Anyways, yes you can use it by softmodding it, you dont even need the disk reader for that since you'll run games from a USB drive. but look at the last picture,. the chip where some...

basically, you need to connect the 3 lines, from the controller to the n64, then all you need to do is connect the button to the corresponding pins from the controller's motherboard's chip to form your A B Z etc... and you can have a common ground between them all, they're normally open so you...

    Question N64 version

If you go with the n64pms by gman, there's a button for the on/off switch. Otherwise, use a 6 pin ON/OFF switch, line for the 3.3v the other for the 5v. I used the n64pms so i didn't deal with that but that's how i'd do it since it'll be permanently ON when you connect the power to those pins.

    Question N64 version

Before connecting the 5v, make sure the voltage regulator is not connected, desolder it or just cut the pins out.
