    Worklog Nintendo MiWii "First Portable"

If you join the discord, there are a lot of Europe based people that could help you find cheaper parts. And for the parts you are not using like bluetooth, wifi, sd card, and mx chip, @GingerOfOz and @jefflongo summed up bluetooth and wifi. But with sd card, it is only needed for same things...

    GC+ / PowerMii

I guess I was the only one slightly confused. I thought he was asking for a gc+ and powermii in one board which isn't a thing. As long as you guys understand it, it does not matter.

    GC+ / PowerMii

If you are trying to ask a question, could you be a lot more specific? I am not even sure what you are asking. Forums are not like texting where you can do stuff like that. You need to be clear with questions so people can best answer your question without confusion. And this is good also for...

    World's Smallest Gamecube Controller

The squishy orange tacts are just the ones listed in the BOM. Or at least those look exactly like the ones in the BOM. Here is a link to the BOM. https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/portablizing-bom.367/

The heatsink and fan keep it cool. It just takes trial and error to see how small you can trim the heatsink and how small you can make the fan.

    Question Motherboard battery issues

Do you have PortabalizeMii installed? If you do not, try reattaching the disc drive and that might fix your problem. Emphasis on might. I would try putting it back together the way you got it. That has helped me before.

    Worklog My first Wii Portable

Nintendont does and nintendont is the gamecube player in PortabalizeMii. As long as you get the normal classic controller with analog triggers, you should be good. And get nintendo brand, not off brand because a lot of those suck. I did that for the longest while before i bought a gamecube...

    Worklog My first Wii Portable

Jackson would be the best to answer these questions, but I will help out as much as I can. If you want to use a classic controller and wiimote, there is not really a need for a gamecube controller as long as you use the classic controller, not the classic controller pro because the original...

    Worklog My first Wii Portable

Everything sounds great, but I would like to make a couple suggestions. First off, the sd card slot is not really needed. All the software runs off usb and that slot is a pain to wire up. Second, instead of using a gamecube controller, I would recommend using a GC+ board. It also natively...

    Question Speakers too loud

I understand the wire gauge problem, but you made it sound like it might be a problem with the power supply not being able to supply enough watts. I was just clarifying it for anybody reading this thread who may be confused. And yes, wire gauge for power should be 22 gauge or larger. I...

    Question Speakers too loud

That power supply can supply up to about 12 watts. That is definitely enough for the screen, amp, and speakers. Unless you are using some ridiculously high power speakers.

    Question Speakers too loud

Also, does the ohm level of the speakers meet the ohm level the amp was designed for?

    Question Power Switch Issue

Everything you need to know is in gman's trimming guide. Try reading that many times and that will help a lot. I have read the wii trimming guide at least 30 times so I knew everything in it. Reading helps you notice a lot.

    Need help Disc drive

Sometimes when the disc drive is broken, you just have to recalibrate the laser. That was what happened with my ps2.

    Question Nooby question

Yes. You need a charger specific to the voltage level of your batteries. You will also probably need a new protection circuit as well.

    Question Enough cooling?

That fan is great. Just make sure to not trim the heatsink too much and make a good path for airflow.

    Question Trimmed Wii bad video

First question, have you sanded the board properly? Since you trimmed a 6 layer board, you should probably sand starting at 100 grit and work your way up to 1000 grit. Also, could you post pictures of your trim? There could be a multitude of reasons depending on how you trimmed your board. You...

Question USB HDD, SDD, What One To Get Question

If you connect the hard drive to the usb port, it will work just like a super high capacity usb. So everything that works with usb will work with the hard drive. But for HDD vs SDD, I would recommend an SDD. SDDs are more power efficient because they do not have any moving components. And any...
