I dont know the risks of a failing regulator. The best way to know is to try it out, people often try things out to see how it works, the price is cheap. personally I'd rather just get a pth08080waz because they've always been solid, but the worst it can do is break your board :rothink: I'd...

Yes if you're wiring those traces under the board expose the copper. Try to remove as little of the surface as possible so you keep things clean. I've done the three traces with one wire before. You can remove the wire insulation in the middle of the wire if you want to make things as clean as...

I dont know off the top of my head, but it's the capacitor that leads to the video line on the chip, it's one of the large ones for sure. And you could look into building the one jacksonS made It uses tact switches, although you need a programmer, but its said that theres a guide for doing so.

Those ti regs are good for n64s so you could just go with one of those. And the video works fine just add the capacitor back on if you don't want it washed out, i remember ss said he once had issues with those pins for Audio (they weren't very loud, but I don't recall having ever having...

Yea I think the watts determines how long itll last, but for this it's no problem.

Yea, but you should also put another wire towards the right trace because you cut off the 3.3v trace there And you can wire the 2k resistor to itself Place the resistor at the top portion of the pif chip, and the first pin on the top right is a 3.3v pin I saw bungle do that and saw it was the...

So I layed out a coat of black glossy paint to check out the looks of the back. Still needs some sanding work, but it's looking better than before. Haven't gotten the r and l button holes fixed yet, but that'll be done soon. Gonna give it a good sanding tomorrow. Looking for some input.

Word sounds like a plan For the screen gman had one listed in his bom I was gonna order it if I make progress for my build down the road probably a little on the cost side, but I trust his recommendations. Wish you luck finding one screens can be hard to decide

you could use 28 AWG stranded wire just keep it short in my opinion its probably the best for a cart slot job I didn't have luck with 30 AWG wrapping wire If you dont have a desoldering iron you could use tweezers with a normal iron to pull out the metal prongs that are used from the back...

Yea if you're not careful you can really ruin that section having to be forced to do an rcp. I actually tried it a few times and one of them was a fail because It ended up bending at an angle lol. Although someone said when he rcpd his board he scratched the traces like you would with the data...

Yea Ashens guide says to use a razor blade which honestly gives a cleaner edge Back when bacteria had a forum site he wrote the same guide, but used a dremel for his choice of method, I personally never tried using a blade to perform one or to trim a motherboard, but it's out of preference...

If you're planning to try a bend in the future Make sure you cut evenly probably a little more than half way down, you can tell by the way your dremel cuts throughout the board if you need to cut more on certain areas, but the edges is the best way in my opinion to determine how far down the...
