Question this batteries will be fine for my portable?

Depends on your load and efficiency of your regulators. Everything from the audio amp, screen + backlight, motherboard, controller, all take power. If you can calculate your draw from all these things you can find how many hours the batteries will last.

    Worklog radicalplants' Unnamed Wii Portable

radicalplants' Unnamed Wii Portable This portable is going to built off a modular pin header system that will allow multiple different interfaces to be used with the same module which will consist of the main Wii board only. It shouldn't take more than a VGA 20 pin header to achieve...

    Worklog Custom GC Controller

I guess the Homebrew would send custom signals to the PIC and then it would save the config in EEPROM? You could always make a no config version that uses a jumper to pick between analog stick and sliders. But that isn't as cool as a configurable product.

    Modding stream?

Getting my soldering setup from storage today. I have a NHD-FFC36 to wire up on an uncut gamecube and some work to do on an AlmostWTF gamecube. If anyone wants to do a mid-week stream I'm free.

    Modding stream?

A but off topic but... That makes me wonder, do you still cut up a real console or is it good enough now that you can just throw a raspberry pi in there and dump the rom into the emulator using GPIO. Or is it more of an authenticity thing?

Discussion Should I Continue My GCP or Start On The Wii?

Like full speed N64 emulation and a lot more HID and storage options. Also there is a lot more compatible homebrew.

I've recently become interested in the prospect of portable consoles...

Yes you need something that converts the Wii video output (component or composite) to the wire the screen uses, which is too complicated to take an analog video signal alone. Lots of screens used in the portable community are taken from all in one car backup cameras. Also look out for you...

    Discussion USB Gecko Loader

Motivation for this project was finding a way to do USB loading on the gamecube. My first idea was to link an SD Gecko or WiiKey to the Mobidapter (USB to SD adapter) but that was a very bulky and expensive route to reach a 32GB maximum thanks to SDHC limits. Then I thought why not link up a...

    Discussion USB Gecko Loader

I have been studying the USB Gecko design and I wanted to make a specialized version for GC USB loading. The first step is to replace with FT245RL IC with something more geared towards embedded rather than PC communication. I was thinking something like the 74LV165A or the 74HC165 to break the...

    Worklog Sl33py's build

Are you going to make that board public on OshPark and or release the eagle files? It's a beautiful update to Zenloc's regulator. Also do you have to reflow each surface mount component or can you solder them on by hand.

Would it be okay to, while cutting the PCB, also cut out the rectangle of the MX chip so that we don't have to reflow it off the board?
