I would suspect that something is up on the n64 end, not the screen. You're getting picture to the screen so everything checks out there. And I feel you on the huge PS1 screen board haha, I'm currently reducing mine to fit in my game gear case.

You can always use Micro's N64 Stick Converter PCB v3. It's a quality micro controller (as Gman pointed out) with an upgraded joystick, You'll still need a Gamecube style replacement stick to place on top. It's what I'm going to use and I think this would be the best solution.

Damn is there any possibility that more will be produced in the future? I just found and joined this site and this is one of the first things I saw. I would love to pick up like 4-5 if any more are planned.
