Yep, those are the right spots.

You have to connect the via, mode, to a 3.3v part of the board. Mode is another via and you to connect a wire to it that goes to 3.3v. Locations for mode and 3.3v and on the trimming guide video section Stitches did say to do that only if you are using component, which is 3 cables, but I think...

Flux can cause shorts, so you can clean that with isopropyl alcohol. Random solder blobs can short also, so you can clean those. If there are components that are on the trimming line you can remove those fully.

Yeah, my Wii worked okay, and I think I only sanded up to 400 grit. The resistances were also good, though, so you have to check that also.

Worklog [2023 Contest Entry] My first wii portable: Project Codename Ginger

Also, your start date might be too early. The project has to have started after or during May. Your's is from the beginning of April which is kind of around the time I started my project and I was told it was too early. Idk though becuase I just realized your update 1 was later. Since that was...

Is something wrong with my u10 wiring? Is that blob too big?

Well thanks for the info. I'll order a new Wii after my vacation. I'm kinda mad at myself for losing my progress over such a stupid mistake, but it probably won't be too bad because I have all of the wires ready, the expensive part (pms) is fine, and Wiis are cheap. I am a little disappointed I...

Thanks retro. Thats good to hear, but when I tried to turn in on a couple of times was I giving it more heat and making it worse?

No cooling, I left it on by accident when I was testing. The battery has 3.5v and all of the voltage lines were outputting the correct amount. I haven't changed anything since it was working, and I check to see if any wires fell off.

Okay, so I am really worried because I left my wii on for almost an hour. It was at the normal no usb screen, but I left and now it doesn't turn on (two tries). Does it need time to cool down, or is it fried? I didn't put the thermal thing from 4layer on it yet. All lines are outputting...

Permanently, I will be using the pd board, I was just testing with the other one to make sure the pd board wasn't the bad part. I posted some pictures of that earlier, it's pretty much the same exept the wires are a bit tighter now. The Wii via wires are exactly the same. Edit: Also, since the...

Okay, so, I tried a different drive and it just showed the usb error. The light the drive did turn on, though. I'm not sure what to do next. Maybe tighter wires? Edit: I won't literally quadra post so, I wired it up to another usb slot, and same problem. I was a little worried that it was PD...

Alright, same problem. I think I'll try another drive and see what happens even though the one worked before.

Retro, I loaded the drive on my computer, and it works fine and seems to not be corrupted. What should I do instead? The drive worked fine before, so I don't think I need to use a different one. I'll still reformat it and see what happens, though.

Okay so I wired the usb data lines and I think it worked... The screen turns on and seems to bo connecting to the Wii, but then the screen flashes and it won't get any signal. Is this interference? Do I need to twist the wires tighter? The Wii does the normal no usb screen when I take out my...

Great! I didn't realize they weren't connected. I'll connect them tighter this time, also. So if they are not connected does that mean they are the 2 ports? Should I do a spefic one for RVLoader?

Thanks for the kind words retro and gingergamecube Anyways, I have a question. I got usb wired up, but it's not working. I twisted the wires and used a multimeter to check where each one should go. However, the first time I did it I powered it on, and d+ and d- were accidentally swapped. I...

    3d model texturing

Resin prints generally have more accuracy than PLA, so I think Stitches is saying that unless you use resin, you won't be able to get any form of texture specifically without going through a lot if trouble. If you are using resin, you might be able to make a texture.
