    Best charger for G-Boy.

If you go to step 18 in the gboy assembly manual, you will find it. Also, page 4 of this thread: https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/g-boy-rev-iii-diy-portable-kit.3217/page-4

Capacitor removal on Wii not shown in manual

I asked this question earlier as well, I just twisted them off with a little back and forth motion so I wouldnt lift any pads...I ended up having to de-solder all the left over legs though.

Discussion G-Boy Rev III - DIY Portable Kit

Not to Discourage you, but I would get some practice on some old electronics you have laying around to get a feel for everything before you attempt working on this kit. You can easily damage components or the pcb's themselves easily if your inexperienced. That said, if you put the time in and...

    PiR8_BTY's Build Thread

Awesome, thanks Gman. Do you think I should take is easy on the flux and 91% isopropyl alcohol, lol? Giving it time to air out of course. For my label, do you know the power ratings for the Gboy? I know usually nintendo will do one on their portables. Example below:

    PiR8_BTY's Build Thread

*Minor Update* I decided to mock up some labels today after work for the gboy. I wanted to make it obvious what the gboy is the second you pick it up. I was also thinking about making some labels regarding batteries, the hotkeys for changing the volume levels, etc.

Worklog The "Party Box" Wii portable

Unbelievable craftsmanship. Really liking metal hinges and the letter fill. Sets it to the next level. Do wavebird dongles fit in the controller port without making the console sit a little proud?

    PiR8_BTY's Build Thread

*Update* I ran into some issues with my USB-C board/PMS so the boards were shipped off to Gman for analysis. In the meantime, I figured I would work on trimming my wii motherboard without testing the U10 first (wish me luck). Trim so far was the 2nd hardest part of the build (I spent like 15 or...

    U10 Relocation Question

Hi everyone, Regarding the U10 Relocation. I saw that we need to remove part of a trace on the motherboard. The photos and guide I saw online werent the best pictures for such a critical moment, lol. Just wanted to confirm...All I need to remove is just a portion of the trace (A couple mil) to...

Did I Over trim the Motherboard?

Hi folks, I just trimmed my motherboard following the instructions. After looking at a few members trims, I noticed the area on the bottom right was completely intact. Please see my trim below. (I am worried about the area on the bottom right in the first picture)

Fan Not Turning On (Step 7)

Thanks gman, I have no doubt you tested it. I followed the guide exactly and the only wires that were reversed were identified and fixed before batteries were anywhere near the unit. The board looks brand new on my end. On R4, that was just the white paint as seen in the photo attached. I...
