Solved GC+ Thumb sticks not working at all.

Okay, so I went ahead and hooked the boards up to my test wii to try upgrading them there and that fixed the issue.

Solved GC+ Thumb sticks not working at all.

No I'm not. The 3.3v line is running point to point from the regulator to up to the jtag 3.3v input on the gc+. The board has power and ground. Were either one the issue, none of the buttons would work. Here it is circled. Ground is directly below it.

Solved GC+ Thumb sticks not working at all.

All voltages are the appropriate readings. There is no continuity between ground and any of the voltages either nor is there for any of the input signals. Given the testing I've done I am sure that the problem is the board. Just like it was in my portable Gamecube a month ago which I ended up...

Solved GC+ Thumb sticks not working at all.

It's not the wiring. The existing wiring works with another board.

Solved GC+ Thumb sticks not working at all.

Hey guys, I feel as though I am having the worst luck with these two GC+ boards I ordered. This time, the issue is on the wii and they do not work at all. I know my wiring is good. The board has been updated using Controller Config. I confirmed that they work with an external controller. I...

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

Yea, the screen I have that accepts it is a 7 year old 5" Dalian Good display. Which would be fine, if I wasn't trying to keep the screen down to 3.5" to keep the portable I'm building to roughly the size of a Gameboy. Yup, I am positive that it is my boards. I've had these since 2012 and...

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

I am painfully aware of all of this. Again, I was looking for a simple solution that is available right now. For context, all of my retro game consoles are set up through rgb scart and were rgb or hdmi modded by me. I have an Xrgb 3 gscartsw, framemeister, OSSC, the whole nine. I'm well versed...

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

The reasoning is stated directly in the OP. The purpose is to use the native wii rgb signal without the terrible conversion done by the LMH1251. This also comes with the benefit of having a very nice picture while not having to deal with the resolution changes between 480i and 480p made by the...

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

That's great news. I should have figured you guys would be all over this already. Is there a reservation list for it? Or will it be sold here in the store? I'm definitely down for two of them.

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

If that's the case then I guess I will just wait for the GC Video instead. :/ That's understandable. Any region Changer will work just fine for me. I will likely play around with this idea for a bit. I will post if I find any success.

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

Hmmm... Meaning 15khz VGA only. Which will lead to some compatibility issues with many screens... Outside of that little obstacle, does it really make that much of a difference in video quality on a small screen? I mean, the image quality would still be leagues better than anything Composite...

Solved Potential simple solution for Wii to VGA?

Hey guys, So, after a few days worth of brainstorming I believe that I may have come up with an interesting solution for getting VGA video out of a Wii. Now, this will still require extra hardware, but I'm hoping that it will work. Now, I am sure that you are all familiar with this bad boy...

    Discussion UltraVGA - Interest Check

Hey guys, would it be at all possible for me to buy a couple of UltraVGA boards? I was out of the country at the time the spreadsheet went up, with extremely limited internet access and could not have possibly added myself to it in time...

    Solved Video Interference

What they are missing is that having both ends of the shielding soldered to ground also increases the number of ground connections between each board which in turn helps with interference. This is exactly why many consumer A/V cables have shielding soldered to the sleeves of each plug despite...

    Solved Video Interference

Did your screen's controller board come with a control panel? Those usually have a power switch that you can use. I ask because using multiple switches for this is essentially unavoidable UNLESS you use a switching TRRS port for Video out. Then the switch for that can be used for the screen...

    Solved Video Interference

I always connect both ends of the shielding to ground and I do not experience interference as a result. Judging by your set up, the best way to do this would be to use a DPDT Switch instead and use 1 pole for the ground connections and the other pole for the signal. Also, I would recommend more...
