Is it possible to reflash when everything is already trimmed? I guess I don't see why not but if I remember correctly with portablize mii you needed to know a few things on the board that have since been trimmed away. Is that not necessary for bbloader?

Alright here's a pretty big update for you all. So over the summer, I redirected a fair amount of my time another project then came back to this afterward. this was mainly because 3D modeling the case for this has been quite a challenge for me mostly in regards to where the mounting holes...

Honestly, even if you say its too thick I still think this thing looks amazing. as with any design you could always iterate forever but I think you are on the right track. always strive for perfection so even if you fall a bit short its still damn good. These clamshell designs are always some of...

Finally! I did it!! Personally, My least favorite part of making any portable is the case of internal design. I think its really cool! but it takes me forever to get everything just how I want it. I finished the biggest part, which is designing all the screw posts and arranging all the parts...

oh, I saw the resistors on there and thought it was some type of voltage divider but I have never seen anything like that before on something like this but that's really neat! thanks!

heyo! yeah, that's a typo my bad. sorry about that, I will edit my post and fix that. and sure I can upload a photo of it! I certainly know its not the best choice but from what I can see it has brightness control which is a definite must since my previous portable didn't have that for quite a...

Hello all! this is my first work log and I will certainly do my best! A bit of background on most online games my name is Red_ so I called this the Rii to nod to that and I thought it was funny sounding. I have built one portable in the past from a raspberry pi but this is a different beast...

I really like how you did that power regulator board! the top looks amazing! I may have to employ that tactic soon on my own build. Its actually quite impressive that you were able to reflow the solder onto he cpu/gpu. I commend thee

That is great! Its gonna be pretty neat once its done i think. Just curious though, what are you doing for a case for it all? I think a tubberware container may work well but I'm sure you can find the right thing! Its gonna be a little big, but if the goal is to have a battery powered wii with a...

https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/custom-regulators-an-explanation-and-guide.754/ This is a fantastic section of this forum that helps a crap ton with regulators and such. I think it will come in handy! I'm looking at it now getting some regs

makes sense, I'll look into getting some while I go to trim my Wii. I'm gonna start a build log relatively soon as to what I'm gonna do

I'm glad I saw this before I did my build. I was gonna use different adjustable regulators. I'm sorry it didn't work out :/ I'm looking forward to more updates!

this looks awesome! Keep us posted on it I really think the clamshell design of it will turn out pretty neat. As for the batteries, I think that the best bet is to get a 110v AC to 7.4V DC converter instead of trying to keep the converter you have since it would cost the same to get any sort of...

Question Making a trimmed, non-portable Wii

The main issue with the Wii is that the fewer things cut off the more it will tend to complain about other things. From what I hear, it's just easier to do the OMGWTF trim and softmod your console, it'll save some headaches for sure. that trim will definitely be small enough to fit and if you...

a PS2 portable sounds really cool! do you mean one of the full-size disk trays found in older desktops? that should be plenty of space if that's the goal. what is a slapper? also, I think there is a ps2 section on the forums that you may wanna peruse through...

    Question Dimensions of OMGWTF Trim

Hello all! I will be beginning to build a Wii portable when I get back from college for winter break but I would like to begin modeling a case. I was wondering if someone could give me some dimensions of the OMGWTF trim so I can get a rough idea of what I can model up. I know it can change...

Ahh, i see! Thank you for the feedback! I will take a look into making custom regulators and seeing if that is an adequate option but i do not see why it wouldn't. Can you recommend a place to look up making custom regulators on bitbuilt? I can't seem to find the right thread.
