    Question Moving/de-soldering the MX chip

Keep in mind there are a few other components you need to include, like decoupling capacitors. You will also need the current limiting components used to reduce draw on the RTC battery.

Instead of hand wiring it, why not just replace the HDMI port on each board with a 19 pin FFC connector of the same pitch?

There is no locking mechanism, they are friction fit. Designing and 3D printing stuff that small and intricate... yea, nope.

Discussion I'm making a Wii portable called the Poriblii, I need help

Thats not how lithium protection works at all. You should follow what other people have done before you try to change things. You are making a LOT of incorrect assumptions you are making. We aren't trying to crush your dreams, we are just trying to keep them from dying in a lithium fire. We see...

    GameCube JoyCon CAD Files

The D-PAD, A, B, X and Y buttons, along with their corresponding ground can be wired to the contact pads. From what I remember, all other points have no large pads to solder to.

    GameCube JoyCon CAD Files

ABOUT: As promised, I am releasing the CAD files for the GameCube JoyCons. For most experienced portablizers, this should be a relatively straightforward, but tedious project. Frankencase the 3d printed parts in, and relocate the button data lines to the traces of the button actuators on cut up...

    Solved Adafruit Industries

Adafruit sells the same stuff you can by on AliExpress or eBay, but marked up to exorbitant prices. Their customer service is horrendous. Despite their status as a multimillion dollar company, they don't offer any phone or email customer support: its all done exclusively through their forums...

Question First time with my wii portable

This Wii is going to have many, many problems. The cutting lines in the guides are not suggestions, there are necessary parts of the board on many layers that you have severed. Trim along the lines to prevent unnecessary problems.

    Worklog D_Crepp's Wii Micro

Ginger did a good job explaining it, but thought I'd reiterate: the cut lines in the trimming guide are not arbitrary. Just because you don't see anything, doesn't mean nothing is there. The cut lines are placed where they are for a reason, and are not merely suggestions. Experienced modders who...

Discussion I'm making a Wii portable called the Poriblii, I need help

I think you should do some more reading before you continue digging. You should have your board running on custom regulators and relocations BEFORE you trim it. That trim is really rough, and is unlikely to even boot. You should follow the guide and trim on the lines: the lines are drawn where...

Question Wii freeze with weird buzzing

In your second photo you are running power to the flash drive using magnet wire. Use thicker wire for power. In fact, I see quite a few magnet wires running to voltage rails, especially 3.3v. So what's goin on with the magnet wire here? Check the voltage of all your voltage rails under load...
