Model [Guide / Release] Noldendo Wii Miicro - v1.1

The Noldendo uses the older 6 layer version of the Wii. There is a trimming guide expansion for it here https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/the-definitive-wii-trimming-guide-6-layer-expansion.860/ The relocations and software principles are the same, the pins and vias are just in...

    Question 1.8v max amps?

I don't know of any plug and play solutions, but the PTH08080 would be close. It just needs one RSET resistor and two 100uf electrolytic capacitors. Might be tricky to get one depending on where you live though

    Question 1.8v max amps?

Yeah you want a 1A reg at least. Cheap regs rarely operate properly near their rated maximum, so you pretty much need to overshoot by a comfortable margin or you will get system crashes

    BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

Yeah the spam catcher uses wildcards. Cluster. It only bothers new accounts for a while. No need to worry if a post gets flagged for review, it'll get approved as soon as one of us sees the action log. It's just to stop spammers from posting their sales pitch in every thread on the site a minute...

    New blue g-boy REV4U

Just be sure to keep that wire short. If the U10 emulation wire is too long it will cause instability

    New blue g-boy REV4U

To check the U10's function, you will need a multimeter. You'll need to ensure that the 3 GND pins are all connected to GND, pin 5 is being fed 3.3v, and pin 4 is outputting between 2.6v and 3.3v. If one of the 3 GND legs broke off, you'll have to use the U9 instead. If connection to GND or...

Solved My Wii trim won’t give any signal

Hmm. With the poor photos, it's very hard to spot the usual defects that might cause this. You'll probably have to wait until your new multimeter arrives

    Question AVE HDMI Issues

Ah, you need 5v connected for it to work at all. IIRC it's a required logic reference.

Solved No VGA on My G-Boy

Measuring the resistance of a powered circuit doesn't give accurate results. Even when the PMS is "off", the lines are still live and there's a tiny bit of flow. Just enough to throw off readings, so yeah that's pretty expected. It's why the docs for the PMS say to always disconnect the...

    Question AVE HDMI Issues

The 5v supply wire is missing in that photo. Also, did you clear the soldermask off the vias on the first Wii? It has partially tented vias, which flexes often have issues with due to low joint integrity

Solved My Wii trim won’t give any signal

I'd start by cleaning off all that burnt flux with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush

Can I get a clear close up of that PMS? It looks like you might have a solder splash

Many people have worked on it. It's doable, one guy claims to have mass produced some, but it's VERY hard to get the CPU and GPU off the board without moisture expansion cracking the silicon

    New blue g-boy REV4U

Your U10 relocation is really sketchy. Have you checked that it's recieving 3.3v and outputting 3.3v to the via properly?

    Solved Stuck in USB screen

An internal port is just a female USB port that isn't accessible from outside the case. Before we had things like the PMS-PD, your choices to transfer files to the drive were to have an externally accessible port in the side of the case, or have a port hidden inside the portable that you had to...
