Worklog A "super slim" PlayStation 3 handheld

In addition to what you mentioned, you'll want to make sure you can actually get a power adapter that can put out enough power, 100w at 12v is nearly 10 amps, which is a lot to expect out of a brick. You'll also want to make sure you have a beefy connector to take the power in, you don't want...

Worklog Can someone help check my work

Ah, uh, I'm a little confused now as to what isn't working :rothink: So have you tested your screen with another video source to make sure it's still working and on the correct input? If so, does the Wii give a black screen, no video, or does it show something with postloader? If it is no...

Question Help designing a Wii Portable aka the Budii

If you're using the PMS you should use 18650s. We suggest the Samsung INR18650-35E batteries as they are high capacity, and their labeled capacity is actually what the batteries can store (many cheap sellers on ebay and such will lie about the capacity and say it is well over what it could...

Solved Help with my faulty Wii (strange power issue)

You removed the wifi module... right? The fan is also probably just bad, since they should spin up regardless of the software on the wii.

Solved switch for IR LEDs ?

If you're only powering them when the system is on then it's fine to have them on constantly, they use very little power

Also, just making sure, are you giving this screen component or VGA video? If it's VGA, you need the hsync and vsync wired as well

Worklog My First Ps2 Portable "The Replay-station 2"

Does that have some kind of video in? If not you most likely won't be able to use it. I'd also suggest figuring out what all you want to put inside before settling on a design, since you may run out of room otherwise.

    Question Question about board trimming.

PortablizeMii replaces a few things, if you want normal homebrew (and wii software) to work correctly you will need to relocate Wifi, bluetooth, MX, and you will need to wire the disc drive daughterboard to the main wii board.

Worklog Magister's worklog - No Name Wii

The 6 layer boards use a little more than double the amount of power as a 4 layer, and are harder to trim/sand due to the fact that there are more layers that are closer together

8? Sounds kinda low to me... Anyway, don't try to measure resistance on a powered circuit, it won't read right. Got pics of the board? That would help us identify what could be wrong

    BitBuilt's 2020 Summer Building Competition

Yes, the intention is that the large majority of the portable is your own design, we don't want the contest to be a large collection of G-boy or G-Wii portables, we're looking for everyone's personal touch. Things like buttons or mounting brackets for things like switch sticks or 3ds sliders...

    FPGA Synthesizer

For some reason I super expected there to just be the FPGA on the board, and you'd have like the DAC and stuff as bits of hdl or something... Still excited lmao

Discussion Teensy 3.2 use in a Playstation 2 portable

Honestly this sounds pretty neat, you may be able to use some of the PS+ code with the teensy, and maybe send inputs through usb->serial or something if you connect via bluetooth

Release Wii native VGA - version 1.5

Just make sure to have some solder wick on hand, you'll most likely end up bridging the pins and it's much easier to fix with wick

Release Wii native VGA - version 1.5

Depends on the monitor and cables, most cables will short RGND, GGND, BGND, and GND together (in the case of the Wii they should be connected together). Beyond those, the other pins don't matter, as those are for detecting the resolutions supported by the monitor

T O O L S I'd sand with a higher grit sandpaper, but you won't need to do too much.

Solved Update Wii from 4.1E to 4.3E

Sounds like some kind of update blocking is set up on that wii, hold reset while you turn the wii on to see if you get the priiloader menu. If you do, go under System Menu Hacks and change everything to disabled.
