Does your case have ventilation holes and did you use arctic silver on your heatsinks? Pics would be helpful :)

My gc and screen acted exactly like that when they weren't getting enough power. So if the battery is doing that while fully charged, it's might be going bad. Although you never know, it might be just a loose wire somewhere inside it.

    Guide Body Filler Tutorial

Huh. I never thought of that, but it makes sense. When I'm sanding plastic with my dremel, it melts at higher speeds

    Guide Body Filler Tutorial

Yeah, you use epoxy to fill the gap. Bondo body filler can be used to fill in uneven spots or "dents". Then you can use bondo glazing and spot putty to fill in super tiny uneven parts, like minor scratches or pinholes / air bubbles, whatever. I actually get away with using just epoxy as both the...

    Guide Body Filler Tutorial

I just insert the piece the way I want it to be, make sure it won't move, mix my epoxy, then use a toothpick to dribble / wipe it in the gap between the two pieces. It's okay to not get enough the first time, you can always do a second layer. Just make sure that it isn't drooling out of the gap...

    Guide Body Filler Tutorial

The gaps really shouldn't be huge. Epoxy is pretty viscous so it goes in decent sized gaps, but if it's too runny to stay you can wait like a minute and try again. When drilling your hole, try to not make it too big. The ideal goal is to get the new piece to hold itself in the hole somewhat...

    Guide Body Filler Tutorial

I haven't tried melted ABS, I usually use epoxy. I have used epoxy putty as well and while it did hold, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's somehow better for your situation than ABS or regular epoxy. It's just a pain. I will say though that I've been working my way through different brands of...

Can you try without the battery? Iirc the intec screen gets power from the power brick. Try removing the battery and plugging it in like normal.

    Worklog Portable PS2

Huh. That's both easier and simpler than I was thinking. Good idea! Maybe I'll try something similar in the future. I tried to make a spin lock for gamecube buttons once and it was awful xD I hadn't considered modifying the buttons slightly

I've always wondered how to 3d print button holes without the buttons being able to turn in their sockets. Printing the pattern around the hole like on a regular controller is the obvious (but difficult) solution. I see that you don't have those though. How are you approaching this? O.o

Worklog Madmorda's First Wii Portable (Wii S Lite)

People use different methods. In my case I am frankencasing in button holes from a 3ds, and using a new 3ds dpad underneath to support them and be the actual "buttons". You could also cut up a gamecube controller and do the same thing for the gc layout. Some people 3d print their holes, others...

Which buttons? The abxy buttons have the n3ds dpad screwed in underneath them and I 3d printed a holder / support for the LR buttons.

Are you using an official Nintendo brand power supply? If it's a generic one, it is probably the issue. I had this problem on my gcp when it wasn't getting enough amps. I've also had 3rd party power bricks cause video disturbance on just a gamecube with no screen, and the screen draws power...

    WII LAPTOP FOR SALE

I'm not criticizing your project, but I do recommend that you revise your eBay listing. "This is a VERY sturdy item, every wire, and every casing was tested to withstand any force or pressure. All because its very sturdy doesn't mean you can hold it by the corner of the screen or the audio...

    WII LAPTOP FOR SALE

Probably. I actually picked one up and was like "oh I'll fix the rrod" and in the space of ten minutes managed to punch myself in the face with pliers and scrape my hand hard along the pointy soldering points. I don't think I'll be picking another one up xD Edit: why do you have so many?

    WII LAPTOP FOR SALE

It's actually extremely normal where I live. I go to the flea market every single weekend and pick up at least one, if not two wiis for that price. Plus whatever else strikes my fancy. Today I got the 2 wiis, a gamecube, a ps1, some games, and a bunch of controllers and cables for about $30. I...
