I just insert the piece the way I want it to be, make sure it won't move, mix my epoxy, then use a toothpick to dribble / wipe it in the gap between the two pieces. It's okay to not get enough the first time, you can always do a second layer. Just make sure that it isn't drooling out of the gap...

Can you try without the battery? Iirc the intec screen gets power from the power brick. Try removing the battery and plugging it in like normal.

I've always wondered how to 3d print button holes without the buttons being able to turn in their sockets. Printing the pattern around the hole like on a regular controller is the obvious (but difficult) solution. I see that you don't have those though. How are you approaching this? O.o

Which buttons? The abxy buttons have the n3ds dpad screwed in underneath them and I 3d printed a holder / support for the LR buttons.
