Before you wire your display to 5v, first measure if the pin is 5v to be sure.

Would anybody build a GameCube portable?

I'm currently working on a wii portable that is really small (not pocket sized, but a bit smaller then the switch). If you want I can make a second one, since I can reuse the case design and overall layout of the one I'm building right now. But it will be really expensive, since it takes so much...

Worklog Wiikipad Switch: Wii/Raspberry Pi Zero W (2-in-1 Portable)

Since you are using the L7009 and are already going to need a 5v reg for usb ( I assume?) you can just hook up 5v to this pin on this ic to power your display:

Question Change theme, drive goes blank

Haven't seen this. I would just try formatting and recopying the files, and just try to see it it works after you try that.

    JAMMA board question

Yes, that should be possible. However i would try to figure out what the actual voltage is that the board requires, since there are almost no electronics that actually run on 12v. There is probably a 7805 regulator inside of the thing which converts the 12v input to 5v. Anyways, of it does need...

Kinda forgot to update this thread lol, I already started working on a new portable. anyways, I "finished" the swiitch. This is the result: This picture is a bit older, it is from before It stopped working.. At this stage I didn't add start and sync yet so those are empty. Anyways, It works well...

Worklog (finished) Swiitch 2.0 - BocuD's second Wii Portable

Been a long time since I updated this lol. Anyways, I trimmed my wii and it actually worked the first time! Here are some pics of the trim and regs: It booted right up once I had my regs working, which was really nice since on my previous portable I trimmed 5 boards before getting one to work...

If my readings are correct you should be able to connect 3,3v to the pins highlighted red and black to power the board. I wouldn't power it from your ps2 since it (might) require up to 2.5A, but you'd need to measure it. Also, make sure that if you measure the pins that they are a steady 3.3v...

Question Where Can I Get a Portable Gamecube (or Wii)

I would build a wii portable for you if you want, I have a lot of free time currently, and am working on a new wii portable currently. I could build 2 of em, but you would need to be REALLY sure about it since parts are quite expensive. I think it would be better to just build one yourself. Its...

Worklog PS2 portable (not named yet)

I found the datasheet for your driver board, and it specifies that the voltages for the panel are 3.3v and 5v. You should be able to replace the built in regulators with custom ones if you want, and could probably pull 5v and 3.3v from the ps2. Can you take closer high resolution pictures of...

Worklog PS2 portable (not named yet)

If I was you I would just ditch the shielding overall. It's not like you're going to need it in a portable. Also, did you look into custom regulators for your PS2? And do you have plans to trim it? Custom regs could reduce power consumption by a lot. I'm not sure if the PS2 uses switching or...

What are you using to get 12v to the display? Also, what do you mean with rust? pics please. Your project looks good to me, but if you want to use a clamshell design I wish you a lot of luck with it since its really hard.

HELP ps2 adapter to hdmi random screen blackout

If you see that the adapter works on the internet, it doesn't mean that it can't be the adapter. If you only get this problem with the adapter it is almost certainly the adapter. It might be the video encoder of your PS2 but this is highly unlikely. It is probably just a bad unit. I suggest you...

    BitBuilt Secret Santa 2017 Thread

I would definitely be interested, as long as the budget doesn't go above 50$. Also, I can't send anything to the US above 2kg, since it would cost me about as much as the thing itself.
