Worklog My first wii "portable" - Tabletopmii

I'm 99% sure that its easy to make this screen run at either 5v or 3.3v. But ill need some extra information: I need a close up image of just the board, so only the purple part. Then ill need the names of the white and yellow ic's. I also need that and a close up picture of the blue one.

    Question Wii graphics card upgrade?

Nintendon't doesn't run in "gamecube" mode. It runs under Wii mode which gives certain games the ability to take advantage of the boosted performance of the Wii, as well as for example use Wiimotes in gamecube games. The description on GBAtemp explains it better then me, so: Source...

Question Wooden case psu heating question

@GingerOfOz 12v to GND on a wii shouldn't kill it if you're using the original regs AND 12v in pins. They have short protection using a self healing fuse, which "blows" when shorting 5v to gnd. If I remember correctly these are the pins you need to measure for continuity: The blue pins are the...

Why don't we use buck converters??

    These are the resistor values I usually use: 1v: between 60 and 70 kΩ 1.15v: between 27.5 and 31 kΩ 3.3v: between 1.6 and 1.8 kΩ 5v: between 250 and 270Ω When under load I usually get around these voltages with these resistances: 1v: 1.03v 1.15v: 1.18v 3.3v: 3.34v 5v: 5.11v Its always the...
