Guide Using Retro GEM Shiny as an LCD Driver

You the man for discovering this! Glad to have been able to test this, it is truly the best video quality available. I tested the Hispeedido HDMI, GBS Control via RGBS, and direct RGBS from the N64 itself and this RetroGem was the best. I'll post pics of other consoles using this direct drive...

This is it. End game for undervolting. Yall are amazing. How are the temps of the regs during testing being that they are right next to the CPU/GPU? I'm thinking of using some thick thermal pad to attach the regs to the heatsink or something just in case.

CLEAN! Love this form factor! I'm curious to find out more on how you mounted the screen. So a glue-less design for the screen and only held by friction; does that mean one drop and it flies out? Also does that mean there are pressure spots from the tight tolerances squeezing against the display?

    Worklog Ashida Rescue! eBay Disaster

It's looking better already. Acetone cuts right through super glue but just be careful with it around certain plastics and maybe resin prints as well as paint. It's a bit of a harsh chemical but fine for cleaning supe glue and PCB flux.

It has been quite some time, but started working on this again in the last month. I think the spirit of the summer competition motivated me to pick this project back up since this was last years submission. Not entering this year but in good faith would like to finish this project this summer...

Yes! This is hot. Been wanting to make a portable with slide mechanism, excited to see how you implement everything. This place sells just the hinge alone so you don't have to buy a whole housing kit. Only a few left apparently...

Injection molded plastic shells - food for thought

@ohkin86 has done injection molding with the Wii U shell, maybe he might have more information on the process/cost.

    Worklog Some PS2 Project

Awesome work!!! Yeah I agree, bit of a pain to swap the QLED backlight to an IPS screen. I think the easier option would probably be to 3D print a spacer to compensate for the size difference of the panels. But it is pretty expensive to have to buy a QLED screen AND an IPS screen. Loving this...

That paste job looks fantastic! I've never done BGA that way, was always nervous of shorts lol. I've always reballed the BGA and lightly tinned the BGA pads on the board itself, quick reflow and voilà! What kind of vias are those?
