Whoa this is genius. Love the idea of cutting down the original chips and making then essentially smd chips. I'd be curious to know how you did it!

Would have been smart of the company to put the two 18650s on the opposite side of the heatsink for more even weight distribution... or just add another since there is plenty of room lol

Thank you! Yeah I had a feeling the error wasn't a big deal since usb is not wired and I was getting video without the AVE. But that's good to know! I'll twist the 54MHz with GND just in case. Glad you let me know because otherwise I wouldn't have done that haha. Luckily I still have TP232

Relocated the nand and trimmed this sucker. AVE was also chopped off, so had to wire the direct drive to make sure it still works. That's all for now thanks.

You don't have to remove the AVE to use DD?

I was putting off trimming the board since I killed about 10 wiis for my last portable, but with proper precaution of testing everything with a multimeter before powering on payed off. Live and learn haha I'm happy to report no wiis have been killed during this project...yet... To be...

Slowly coming back to being more active here on the forums. Small update, started motherboard work with what I thought would be the most daunting task... the AVE relocation. Thanks to @YveltalGriffin for making this task easier with an AVE flex!

Project is coming along nicely. Assembled another board and so far most everything is working. This board is for charging, usb, audio, and brightness control. The audio amp ic is on the bottom of the board as well as a tiny RGB LED for the PMS. The ic behind the type c charging port negotiates...

After many hours, the solution ended up being so simple. In the config file, the dpi display was set to the wrong color profile. Everything is working perfectly now as well as brightness control with a potentiometer wheel.
