    Trimming Service 2: Electric Boogaloo

I don't plan on offering either of these services. Wifi would be rather fragile and I wouldn't be able to guarantee that it would continue working after shipping, and LMAO trims require extensive knowledge of the Wii and trimming that it would be better if you were to do this trim yourself when...

Portablizemii only loading Gamecube games, the two possible points of failure

Have you copied SYSCONF to the emunand? I don't remember exactly where the button is but IIRC you should be able to do so by hitting start/home on the menu with the wii games.

    Worklog Toshiiba

Have you tried holding reset to ground to see if it's a USB issue? Completely unrelated but, NICE JOB using the PTHs in the intended way, this is probably the first project I've seen on a modding forum that actually uses them as TI wanted :P

Solved A little help with the RVL PMS

Just to eliminate possible problems, I would start with removing the power wiring from the wii and testing for voltage from the PMS then. You may also want to remove all power from the board (disconnect charger and one of the battery leads) and then reconnect, battery first, then charger. That...

    Worklog The C-Wii

Try this (also copy the files for SD from the zip again, if there is an error sometimes it can mess up the files) https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/portablizemii-help.611/#post-7636

Question Portable making questions from a first-time builder

That's wrong! The LDO is replaced with another regulator on the PMS, but if you aren't wiring another regulator in it's place you cannot remove it!

The similar looking one on the composite line, as long as that is there you can just grab your video anywhere past that

How does the G-Boy work with games that use the wiimote

You can drill small holes above the screen and stick two IR LEDs up there to act as a mini sensor bar, though you'll want to test the spacing and make sure you're not putting them where they will short with anything else

Question How would I go about connecting buttons and slider pads to a Raspberry Pi for a portable?

You'll probably want to just pull apart a USB controller of some kind, as the raspberry pi doesn't have any analog inputs on it's GPIO headers.

Guide The definitive Wii trimming guide is live!

The V1-4 components are varistors, they will clamp the video output if the voltage goes too high. You can just bypass those components as long as you still have the big cap. If you're putting this in a portable you can just bypass everything as long as the video wire is shielded or twisted...

Discussion Ideas, questions, etc, Post em here!

If you're using composite to the internal screen you'll need to either put a switch between the wii and the screen, or use a buffer chip. If you're using something like component or VGA for your screen you can just put the switch on the mode line.

    Worklog GS2 rev2

He designed them himself. I'm not sure if he would give out the design, but I doubt it would be very difficult to recreate and order from someone like JLC or OSHPark. It is based on PS2+

Question Fitting a Wii inside a NES

Got pictures of the bottom? Looking at the bottom of a 6 layer I have here, it looks like you may have cut some of the onboard regulator components off

It's most likely possible, but for specifics of how you would actually go about it, it depends on specifically what you want.

Come up with wacky crazy electronics ideas

3ds would be particularly hard, maybe a gameboy advance or earlier would be easier since the display protocol is more widely known

Technically you could just cut out those sections of the controller board with a dremel or similar, but it would be easier to get some kind of soft tact switch

Worklog A "super slim" PlayStation 3 handheld

The XT connectors are nice, but they don't have clips or anything to secure them (granted they do hold pretty tightly, so you may not need one)
